Set: 2009 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects - Chrome Prospects

Card: #BDPP45 Mycal Jones

“ I can't tell if that's a real autograph or not. I don't think so, it doesn't have the AU note. Fake autographs on cards are never a good thing. The scan is pretty good for a chrome card. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I like it. Not sure why. But kinda cool. ” -cjjt

“ " You know I have a great Idea! Let's use basically the same design for all our sets, and give them insane numbering systems, with both paper and chrome versions. Oh and at least 10 parallels per set! Make sure most of the players we feature never make it our of the Instructional Leagues too!" said Nobody Ever! I hate Bowman.... ” -rmpaq5

“ Looks so much like an auto card but they fool you. ” -carthage44

“ Dislike the "number" which again, is mainly letters. I have sold off most of the few Bowmans I had for this reason. ” -NJDevils

“ Modern Bowman Chrome le sigh. Braves another le sigh. A Draft Picks and Prospects card with a BCPP card number le sigh. Bowman Chrome Pick and Prospect yeah sure easy enough once you can remember that Picks is one of the Prospect "P"s. Le Sigh. BTW I don't recall hearing of this guy (quick Google search) hmm looks like he is still in their Minor system hasn't hit the biggy Mamma team yet. ” -captkirk42

“ I was never a fan of the fake signature effect on cards when they were clearly separated from the rest of the picture. He's a player that grinded it out in the minors for six seasons, going all the way up to AAA-ball, but could never make The Show. He runs a baseball camp in Naples, FL now. ” -NSEndo

“ Chrome cards, I notice, aren’t the best for autographs. ” -IfbBirdsCards

“ If the number is #BDPP45, then I guess on a scale from 1-10 I give this a 9.1485log(3.52), which is really just an overcomplicated way to say "meh". ” -kents_stuff

“ Bowman chrome looks better in hand than scanned, but I don't like this particular set, because of the big box with the fake signature. ” -switzr1

“ Many mainstream sport sets contain dozens of parallel series and insert sets. To make a master set, it is not exceedingly difficult to build. I remember the old days in the 1970's where sets had subsets as part of the main set, and USUALLY an equal chance to pull a given card. Today, those subsets are hard-to-build subsets and they can get very expensive. Vintage Series had like 600 to almost 800 in the main set. Many base sets are much shorter, but consists of dozens of insert sets - very difficult to figure out. I say we intengrate those subsets back into the main set and make it easier to build... ” -danderson2036C
