Set: 1990 Topps (Rate)

Card: #309 Eric Yelding

“ Clearly before the era of steroids. The bat is bigger than this guy! ” -wamk

“ I think the 1990 Topps design is atrocious- worse than the 1972 Topps or just about any other set. ” -PlayerPCCollector

“ How skinny is this guy?? ” -addysdaddy

“ This marks the beginning of the awful duck face trend amongst today's tweeners. Thanks Eric Yelding, thanks alot. ” -bigsmooth

“ NORM! oh, I thought we were at Cheers- action shots are always great, i just dont like red shoes. ” -tonym

“ Remember watching Norm @AAA Nashville before he got the call up to the big show. ” -addysdaddy

“ Based on his stats, it looks like Charlton was a starter in 1990. He would later move to the bullpen for Piniella's Mariners years. ” -duaned99

Card: #240 Luke Schenn

“ This card is hideous. ” -sascards67

“ This back of this card notes that Luke was taken with the 5th pick in the 2008 Entry Draft. He was also the 4th defenseman taken and Steven Stamkos was the only forward taken ahead of him. ” -Gunny

“ Thanks for reminding me that I need to get a Schenn rookie. ” -DanD

Set: 1992 Fleer (Rate)

Card: #500 Vince Coleman

“ No name makes me cringe more than that of Vince Coleman. The Mets took him away from artificial turf, which played to his speed, and expected him to be a pseudo-replacement for Darryl Strawberry. What a terrible time to be a Mets fan. ” -PlayerPCCollector

“ Never the same after that automatic rolling tarp attacked him. ” -addysdaddy

“ Perfect bunt, that great speed, and Coleman is standing on first base a few seconds later.. ” -wamk

Set: 1994 Leaf (Rate)

Card: #206 Bob Wickman

“ Leaf tried to pass itself off as a premium brand in the early 1990's but it was basically just a different Donruss design. ” -sascards67

“ Another good looking Leaf-Donruss product from the 90s with good photography and effective use of foil accenting. ” -PlayerPCCollector

“ Throwing the sinker. ” -addysdaddy

Set: 1972 Topps (Rate)

Card: #773 Ron Brand

“ They couldnt turn the camera 10 degrees to avoid the interview in the background? ” -bigsmooth

“ where is he looking? Can someone get the squirrel off the field. ” -addysdaddy

“ I didnt like this card in 1972 but I like it now, go figure. Getting old. ” -NJDevils

“ When you think about Topps designs, it's like hiring a new manager for a baseball team. The owner tries to go with the opposite personality of what he just got rid of. If Terry Francona is too laid back, hire Bobby Valentine to get in the players' faces. With Topps, you come out with this monstrosity of a design, and follow it with a rather conservative 1973 version. Or you do a color photo intensive 1957 set and come back with a solid color background 1958 set. ” -PlayerPCCollector

“ Whoa, it's a Canadian team. What does it all mean? ” -jimmyjam

“ card reminds of the entrance to the Fun House. like the equipment just laying around in the background- good practice there! ” -tonym

“ This 1972 Topps cards memorializes Ron's last season in the majors in 1971. In 1500 plate appearances Ron totaled 3 home runs and had .282 slugging percentage. Looking at his fielding stats he played 350 games as a Catcher and at least 16 games at every other position except First Base. A true utility player. ” -sascards67
