Set: 1997-98 SPx (Rate)

Card: #8 Dennis Rodman

“ This was the third and final release of SPx with a hologram as part of every card- while the brand continued the hologram was dropped, unfortunately. (Some were better than others!) Rodman's an oddball for sure, but it was always interesting seeing what color hair he would have on any given night. Most of the colors did not make it onto cards; some of them were pretty wild multicolor events, most of the cards showed simple single colors. I always wanted to sort them by hair color, but I never got around to it. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Awesome, a card i actually have.. The Worm was always fun to watch play, made those last few Bulls championships more interesting.. great player, cool card.. ” -lyfestory

“ Still one of the weirdest dudes in America ” -Hollywood42

“ And now he hangs with Kim Jong-Un. ” -jlaz10

“ I didnt think things could get any worse but they did. ” -NJDevils

“ What an horrible design! Was this a tribute to his haircut? ” -PMB

“ Interesting design. Looks Like a CD label. Very busy front, but simplistic back. I enjoyed Rodman (he was a very colorful player). ” -yokonashiwa

Set: 1990 ProCards Triple A All-Stars (Rate)

Card: #AAA6 Keith Hughes

“ I don't think all the card back got scanned. Interesting color scheme, and good design. Sometimes the minor league cards seem to have better designs than the pros. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I like minor league sets. Not that I would buy any but it gives the guys who never make it to the majors a chance to be a on card. Nice back of card too. ” -NJDevils

“ Love the old Minor League cards. Maybe a bit too much border on the front, but what would we see anyway, more empty seats? I like the back - nice and clear. ” -vrooomed

“ This is what minor league uniforms should look like! It's okay to copy off of your affiliate. ” -jlaz10

“ Is this an error card...Phladelphia? Don't tell me they couldn't fit the "i"... ” -SaveDaKid

Set: 2000 Fleer Tradition (Rate)

Card: #143 Paul Konerko

“ This same design was used for the NBA set of 2000-01, but we didn't get a cartoon! Hrumph, I say! :) The NBA set is listed under the Database as just plain Fleer, the Tradition tagline- which debuted as the main set in the 1998-99 season- is not included. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Tradition? No. Too lazy to come with something new? Yes ” -NJDevils

“ Nice striping on that jacket. ” -jlaz10

“ Fleer's attempt at old-school looking cards... not a total fail, but i don't care for the yellow background... ” -lyfestory

Set: 1987 Donruss Opening Day (Rate)

Card: #209 Orlando Mercado

“ Oh eew. Yellow! ” -Dixxy

“ Interesting color combo. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ The Tigers should throw back to these unis sometime. ” -jlaz10

“ I always liked the style of this set. What I can't stand is trying to find one that looks centered. This one isn't bad at all, but the baseballs on the sides of the card really exaggerate even the slightest mis-cut ” -Bplay24

“ Good photo, nice Tigers logo. I just see no purpose to "opening day" sets. Just another money grab by the companies. No wonder so many went belly up. ” -NJDevils

“ Never was a fan of the Opening Day sets. Never saw the need for them. Retread of the normal design. Even the back was boring as heck. ” -vrooomed

“ This is the Opening Day concept I wished Topps used. A set of each team's opening day lineup. It makes a lot more sense than their current opening day set concept. ” -ThemightyOx

Set: 1994 Pacific Crown Collection (Rate)

Card: #245 Richie Lewis

“ Is the card off center or just cropped funky? ” -Billy Kingsley

“ OK, Seriously? That's three cards now that the scan job has royally sucked. This one isn't even cropped at all. Stop rushing through them, take your time. The scans are more important than your point standings! ” -Dixxy

“ Can anyone out there help me finish my 1994 Pacific set? Let me know! ” -PlayerPCCollector

“ RIP Florida Marlins ” -jlaz10

“ a solid set, nothing ground-breaking... always like when the card itself goes with team colors.. ” -lyfestory

“ Terrible font for the name on the front, but pretty decent design. Number placement on the back is a pain for us set sorters. ” -vrooomed

Set: 2010 Upper Deck (Rate)

Card: #430 Edgar Renteria

“ I like this card. I have said before, and it bears repeating, UD got better in the late 2000s. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Sorry, Upper Deck. The whole "We can still do sets despite not having a MLB license" thing never really worked. ” -PlayerPCCollector

“ He's going to trip over that gopher popping up in front of him as he fields that ball.. ” -wamk

“ The lack of a team logo makes this a non-collectible. ” -g74d6

“ It's a shame UD lost it's MLB license. Their cards were good. ” -jlaz10

“ Nice design. I like it. Also like how Upper Deck started putting the series and year info right on the backs of the cards. With the glut of product out there, it makes identification much easier. ” -vrooomed

Set: 2001-02 Pacific (Rate)

Card: #70 Rod Brind'Amour

“ Solid design. Not sure why they didn't expand the stats box and leave out the color swirls, would have made it much easier to read. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ "Rod the Bod" Great player I liked this set .It wasn't as flashy as other sets,of this year, just a nice basic clean design. ” -uncaian

“ Classic Pacific look. I miss them. ” -suomibear8

“ Probably one of Pacific's best efforts. ” -NJDevils

“ Not a bad set, but they could've printed the stats a bit larger. ” -vrooomed

“ The new Hurricanes uniforms are a lot better than these mainly because of the exclusion of silver. ” -jlaz10

“ Again... horrible back scan. ” -Dixxy

“ One of the best American players ever. Was a plus for any team he played with.I like this set too. ” -uncaian

“ Real big difference between the French Parkhurst from a week ago to this one. Ho-hum. ” -NJDevils

Set: 1992 Topps Magazine (Rate)

Card: #96 John Kruk

“ I loved these cards out of the magazine.. Only problem was cutting them out.. ” -Mike67

“ Purple? No, no, and no. Not for any baseball team - before the Rockies came into the league. The back is just awful. Too much border on the front. A shame it's one of my players. ” -vrooomed

“ I remember getting a few of those Topps Magazines back in the day.. always enjoyed the cheap cards included.. ” -lyfestory

“ That's a whole lotta pink. The text on the card back is interesting...I bet this guy got tired of all the people commenting on his weight...even Topps makes several jokes about it in the text. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Kind of looks like they took some advice from pro set about color... Reminds me of the Ugly '92 Dinosaurs set I scanned in not all that long ago... Gotta say....... Ew. ” -Dixxy

“ Even though this card is more than 20 years old, it's still the same Phillies uniform as today. ” -jlaz10

“ I think this was Topps attempt to see if they could produce worse designs than SI for Kids. They succeeded. ” -DaClyde

“ I didn't even know they had a Topps Magazine. Reminds me of some cards inserted into Tuff Stuff magazine that I can't find a list for on here. ” -jupiterhill

“ Despite the horrible background color, I do like the simplicity of the front of the card. I love how on the back they describe Kruk as "well-rounded." Just reading what was written about him is funny. ” -yokonashiwa
