Set: 1992 All World CFL (Rate)

Card: #152 Bruce Covernton

“ I like the curtain design at the top. Not something you see every day. All World seems to have had their hand in a lot more than I thought, I only knew them from two Indy Car sets until I joined the Database. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ This is an overwhelmingly Canadian picture. It doesn't do a very good job of conveying what sport this is. In fact, I had to delete a comment about hockey because some Googling told me this was a football card. Okay then. Okay, Canada. ” -Luckynumber78

“ Anyone else notice that a CFL card was printed in the USA? Nice design. ” -vrooomed

“ This guy can't be the player, can it? He looks older than me and I'm a geezer. Maybe it's the team owner? The team owner's grandfather? ” -NJDevils

“ Seem like some good '90s unis. ” -jlaz10

“ He looks like a substitute teacher. ” -DanD

Set: 2000 Topps (Rate)

Card: #472 Active Strikeout Leaders - Roger Clemens

“ The concept on this card is a good one...the subject not so much. I remember seeing him on the local news all the time when he was an active player (and even now when he's not due to the controversies he's been in) and he does not come off as a very nice person. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ like him or not, he still was a great pitcher.. I still can't figure out how PEDs would help a pitcher in any way.. regardless, i would have to agree with the nature of the card.. ” -lyfestory

“ Clemens is certainly one of the 20th century's best. The 20th century's random years sprinkled about behind him are less than inspired, though. ” -Luckynumber78

“ Steroids. ” -jlaz10

Set: 1987 Topps (Rate)

Card: #124 Ray Fontenot

“ I wonder if he ever got that degree? ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Hmmm.. Wonder if Mr Fontenot ever completed the few hours he needed for that degree in business admin.. ” -ThemightyOx

“ Airbrush often? ” -jlaz10

“ A nice card. I don't mind Topps reusing the wood border. Seems like baseball. Back of the card is pretty good though I would advise Topps to dump the vat of purple ink. ” -NJDevils

“ I love the 87 Topps set. ” -Mike67

“ Air-brush city! ” -vrooomed

Set: 1992 Stadium Club Dome (Rate)

Card: #151 Pokey Reese

“ i remember all those late 80s and early 90s draft picks mostly amounting to nothing.. except for the Big Hurt anyway.. always loved Stadium Clubs' photography, but this one is not so good.. and the backs are just too confusing.. ” -lyfestory

“ What's this, a wanted poster? Topps should be able to do better but didnt. Never liked Stadium Club. The back is horrible too. Let the kid smile. ” -NJDevils

“ Is this a baseball card, or a mug shot? ” -wamk

“ Regular old minor league uniform. ” -jlaz10

“ Pokey! Man, what a great high school uniform. This guy drove me crazy though. Seemed like he always ripped the Astros. ” -marcbrubaker

Set: 1991-92 Pro Set French (Rate)

Card: #87 Brad Shaw

“ This card came up just a few hours too late, as I missed one of these on Card-ology earlier today! I like the whale tail on the jersey. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ So many hockey cards! At least it's in French so I have an excuse for not knowing what's going on here. ” -ray fosse's ghost

“ Another hockey card. Descent image of Shaw but the card is rather plain beyond that. ” -koloth42

“ I like this set,no borders, nice backs and really, really affordable.A great set for kids to collect. It was pretty much error free, a big improvement from the year before.Shaw was a great defenseman, nothing flashy, but always reliable. ” -uncaian

“ A border would have been a nice addition to this card. ” -NJDevils

“ Oh how I miss the Hartford Whalers. ” -jupiterhill

“ Silliness: How many people called him Terry? On another note, ProSet was so terrible, it's not even worth the paper it's printed on. Sheeting a set costs more for the pages than the cards. Ouch! ” -vrooomed

“ Cue the Brass Bonanza! I miss the Whalers. ” -Gunny

“ I once bought a box of these. My French is still bad. ” -DanD

“ Best. Logo. Ever. ” -jlaz10

Set: 2012-13 Upper Deck (Rate)

Card: #108 Bryce Salvador

“ Another great new design from UD. I would be trying to complete this set if I collected Hockey. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Upper Deck will always be my favorite sports card brand, always had great photography and solid card designs.. ” -lyfestory

“ I thought Upper Deck did a very nice job with this set. Bryce looks good on this card, good skating shot compliments the design elements at the bottom. Bryce is also the 10th Captain in New Jersey Devils history. ” -Gunny

“ I like this set nice and clean presentation. ” -uncaian

“ Three cups in 20 years. Oh yeah, nice card too. ” -NJDevils

“ The Devils home uniforms work perfectly with their color scheme. ” -jlaz10

“ Nice to see hockey on here. Upper Deck's design is pretty much the same as it was 15 years ago. ” -vrooomed

Set: 1991 Sports Pro Medicine Hat Blue Jays (Rate)

Card: #18 Matt Wilke

“ Only played 2 seasons of minor league ball before being released but is forever immortalized with his picture on a minor league card sponsored by Monarch cable and Sport Pro! ” -ThemightyOx

“ The name of this set is ridiculously funny. ” -yokonashiwa

“ I normally store my medicine in the cabinet, not my hat. :) ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Matt Wilke, the talk of southeastern Alberta back in '91. Hopefully he's not back in Beaver Dam selling insurance or cars. ” -ray fosse's ghost

“ What's a Matt Wilke? ” -Young Kilo

“ The team name is certainly prominent, isn't it? Not a fan of the stars running down the side. I'd rather see a thinner, plain border allowing the photo to be larger. Good photo. Ads on the back are too big, but maybe they paid big money to be there. ” -vrooomed

“ I don't think they have enough stars in the design. ” -CluelessJoe

“ Such variety in Minor League card designs. :-D ” -koloth42

“ Even though they are the Blue Jays, you'd think they'd have at least a different cap than the parent club. ” -jlaz10

“ Looks like someone's Little League card. ” -DanD

“ Even the minors beats a star trek card. ” -NJDevils

“ Medicine Hat and Beaver Dam.. gotta love some of the city names.. the card is ridiculously bland.. ” -lyfestory

Set: 2005 Upper Deck (Rate)

Card: #392 Jake Peavy

“ Breathe dude, breathe! :) ” -Billy Kingsley

“ He's holding his breath until the ump calls it a strike. Foil makes a tough scan, but a decent card. Too much space used for the name area for me. ” -vrooomed

“ 20% of the card wasted on the blue junk at the bottom. Why not just put a mask over the player? ” -NJDevils

“ These BP jerseys were the first templated design throughout the MLB. ” -jlaz10

Set: 1996 Bowman's Best (Rate)

Card: #156 Dedric Mathis

“ Good design. 1996-97 saw the debut of Bowman's Best in basketball, the first time the Bowman name made an appearance in that arena since 1948-49 season. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I've always thought that cards that put the player over a manufactured background were odd looking. This card is a case in point. ” -koloth42

“ Looks like the team name is his bench that he's sitting on. ” -vrooomed

“ The Colts stripes still look good in the Nike templates. ” -jlaz10

“ This looks so awkward, especially since the background skews your perception of where the ground is. It looks like that last freeze frame before a season-ending injury on TV. ” -Luckynumber78

“ Nice set,AWESOME player comes from the Stevie Y school of hockey, where you learn skill & class.I really like this set for the retro cards & inserts. ” -uncaian

“ Man, he played in the NHL forever ” -Hollywood42

“ Nice photo. so-so back of card. For those of you that didnt notice, the card was made by O-Pee-Chee O-PEE-Chee O-Pee-Chee....... ” -NJDevils
