Set: 2009 Press Pass (Rate)

Card: #81 Carl Edwards

“ Carl had become my second favorite active driver, but isn't anymore, since he decided to use his car as a weapon. Rumors abound that he will leave Roush-Fenway Racing (Yes, the same Fenway as the Boston Red Sox) at the conclusion of 2014. The 2009 set was a decent one from Press Pass- probably their second best effort, after the 2011 set. The only time Press Pass ever bothered to issue a series 2, although this card is from series 1. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Didn't he just win a race last Sunday? ” -volbox

“ I wonder if it bothers Carl that he has a duck on his fire suit. ” -koloth42

“ Aflac. ” -jlaz10

“ This is kind of like having a Derek Jeter card with the caption proclaiming that Utz Potato Chips just bought a new billboard in right field. ” -revnorb

“ This is a highlight in this guys career? Aflac becoming the Primary Sponsor. Of course, I don't really watch or follow NASCAR, so I could be wrong about this being a big highlight. ” -yokonashiwa

“ Just turn left, Carl ” -Hollywod42

“ He looks just like his car! ” -Luckynumber78

“ Maybe it's my color blindness, but I can't read the word before Forward on the front. Totally blends in with his sleeve. That makes a bad card. ” -switzr1

Set: 2007-08 Upper Deck (Rate)

Card: #133 Mike Dunleavy Jr.

“ I'm not sure how the Pacers could think these jerseys could be better than the blue and yellow pinstripes that came immediately before them. I don't have many from this set, I was away from the hobby at the time. I sure do miss UD's complete stats including career high game, too. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Dunleavy was drafted out of Duke during the 2002 NBA Draft (3rd overall) by the Golden State Warriors. He currently plays for the Chicago Bulls but he has played for the Warriors, Pacers and Bucks. Career Stats: 839 Games, 11.9 Points Per Game, 4.5 RPG and 2.4 APG. During his 3 years at Duke, Dunleavy played with other NBAers Carlos Boozer (current teammate w/Bulls), Shane Battier, Chris Duhon, Daniel Ewing and Jason Williams. ” -carthage44

“ Despite a generic font, the Pacers unis are pretty nice. ” -jlaz10

Set: 2011 Topps Lineage (Rate)

Card: #40 Stan Musial

“ Stan Musial was a great player. ” -yokonashiwa

“ It's great you can see the stripes on his socks. What's up with the border on the right hand side, though? ” -revnorb

“ Great stirrups! ” -jlaz10

“ Staaaaaaan! Also, why does the Cardinals logo look almost orange? It may just be me. ” -Howintensive

Set: 2002 Topps Traded & Rookies (Rate)

Card: #T144 Ben Howard

“ I don't really like all these extended sets. Just include them in next year's set instead of creating these XRC's and all these new parallels. ” -suomibear8

“ Interesting border color! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ One of Topps worst designs - EVER. ” -vrooomed

“ The Padres just can't shake their association with the color brown... ” -revnorb

“ These Padres unis were so bare. Needed more color. ” -jlaz10

“ Only survivor of Mike Darr's fatal crash since he was wearing a seatbelt. ” -volbox

Set: 1967 Topps (Rate)

Card: #184 George Thomas

“ I think the '67 design is pretty solid. I like the big team name, although i dunno why "RED SOX" should be in orange. Rotating the signature at a crazy angle so it fits over the white of his jersey and is therefore legible is kinda weird. I'd say this is maybe the fourth-best baseball card design of the 1960's, behind 1963-65. ” -revnorb

“ I was always impressed by his defensive performance at Chickamauga. ” -UNC_Samurai

“ Great set! My father bought me this set for my birthday 30+ years ago. Thanks Dad! ” -CluelessJoe

“ Ah, the last set that I truly collected in my youth. Brings back great memories. I think I completed about half the set when I started chasing girls instead of Joe Pepitone. ” -NJdevils

“ Classic Sox! ” -jlaz10

“ Nice clean card. Picture is great and the signature doesn't cover anything important. Back has great information and I especially like the list of years played and the team name and stats. ” -yokonashiwa

“ My favorite Topps baseball set of the 60s, for sure. Such a simple but effective design. So much of the card front is dedicated to the photograph, yet we know who he is and who he played for too. I can overlook the pointless facsimile signature because everything else is just about perfect. ” -switzr1

“ 67 Topps is a work of frills - just the picture accompanied with name, position, auto, and team...nice! ” -flcardtrader

“ This is my second favorite set of the 1960s (1965). The vertical format on the back was a nice change of pace. ” -vrooomed

Set: 2013 Topps Detroit Tigers (Rate)

Card: #DET9 Phil Coke

“ This is a normal brain. This is your brain on Phil Coke. ” -Howintensive

“ I don't know about the absence of a team name, but it's nice how the "D" logo on his jersey matches the card logo. Also, it looks like someone played Ring Around the Rosie with his head. ” -revnorb

“ I liked this Topps design although I have to admit that it had to grow on me. Nice solid action shot, minimal border. I've never heard of Phil before today but hey he is living his dream as a MLB pitcher so my hat is off to him. ” -koloth42

“ Like the design but could do without the silly career chase line on the backs. Most of the photography is sharp. And these Team Sets are real nice for the team collectors (like me) - especially when they contain players who weren't in the main Topps set (just like the late 70s Burger King team sets). ” -vrooomed

“ If you look closely, you'll see that the Tigers have two different D-logos: one on their caps and one on their jerseys. ” -jlaz10

“ If they're going to do these I wish they'd make something different about the card (besides the #) ” -jackal726

“ You would think he could have had a great endorsement deal with that last name. ” -yokonashiwa

Set: 2008 Upper Deck (Rate)

Card: #84 Matt Jones

“ Big time draft bust. He was one of the first few former QBs who converted to WR. Everyone thought he would be the answer for Jacksonville, but he just got in trouble with the law and disappeared. Good looking picture, though. ” -Howintensive

“ Example #34 why foil is a bad idea on cards. ” -DaClyde

“ Upper Deck has again succeeded in disguising the player's name and team. ” -NJdevils

“ Huge picture. Simplistic front. Plenty of room on the back for information. I like it. ” -yokonashiwa

“ Crack is whack ” -jackal726

“ The Jaguars can't seem to find a good look. They're current duds aren't ugly, though. ” -jlaz10

“ "I once had a pile of cocaine, thiiiiiiiiis big!" ” -UNC_Samurai

Set: 2007 Topps Heritage (Rate)

Card: #341 Pittsburgh Pirates

“ Thumbs down Topps Heritage. ” -addysdaddy

“ Looks like something a little league team gets done at the end of the season for a souvenir. ” -revnorb

“ Great team photo on the front. This is what the front of team cards should look like! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I like team cards, and the Buccos are my favorite baseball team. However, this card I do not really care for all that much. The big yellow border just looks dreadful. ” -Gunny

“ I still like team cards. ” -vrooomed

“ The vested Pirates! A look they should have kept. ” -jlaz10

“ I liked team cards when I was a kid, but as an adult I'm glad they are less frequent now. ” -jackal726

“ Team cards have always been my favorite type of card. I like getting them because not everyone on the team got a card. This way, you get all the players even if it is on one card. Always thought that a team card should be part of every team related sport's base card set. ” -yokonashiwa

Set: 2005-06 Parkhurst (Rate)

Card: #126 Ian Laperriere

“ Not a bad design, for a messed with photo anyway. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Not a bad design. Nice guy too! ” -vrooomed

“ One of my favorite Parkhurst sets that I'm still working on. I like the larger sets. This had a few subsets, and only one parallel which was nice for a change. ” -suomibear8

“ The Avs looked so much better before the Edge update. ” -jlaz10

“ I love how it tells that he set all those personal records with the "new rules" in 05-06, but those numbers aren't in his stats, and it doesn't tell what the new rules were either. Maybe he scored 40 goals. Maybe he scored 14. But we know it was his best season. ” -switzr1

Set: 2001 SPx (Rate)

Card: #77 Phil Nevin

“ Good scan! The card design is just "meh" to me though- so was the basketball version. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Not being that familiar with the NL West, all I really remember about his career is his no-trade clause. Dude rejected being traded for Griffey, then somebody from Milwaukee, then Sidney Ponson and Baltimore. ” -UNC_Samurai

“ Hold up, I got this. ” -DaClyde

“ Probably the best player of the 5 guys drafted ahead of Derek Jeter. He went #1 overall that year. ” -NJdevils

“ "Hi pitcher! How's it going?" ” -vrooomed

“ Nice action pose from a former college great. ” -flcardtrader

“ The Padres haven't looked good since they ditched the brown and gold. ” -jlaz10

“ Time out while I do my ridiculous "getting ready to bat" wiggle dance. ” -jackal726
