Set: 1996 Fleer - Post-Season Glory (Rate)

Card: #2 Ken Griffey Jr.

“ Hmm, it almost looks like he's going to hit himself upside the head with his bat there. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I hate cards that commemorate some real or imagined milestone, they always seemed like extraneous garbage to me. That said, this one looks kinda nice, although they should've tightened up the kerning on the script "Ken Griffey, Jr." so the letters touched each other. ” -revnorb

“ ... no ring ” -SSG Temple

“ As a baseball fan, something about this card bores me. ” -NJdevils

“ Griffey was my favorite player growing up. It's really too bad he didn't have more postseason appearances in his career. ” -duaned99

“ Looks just like the Mariners today. ” -jlaz10

“ Busy front, but nice overall. ” -vrooomed

“ Some people are probably going to hate this design, but I gotta say, I really like it ” -Hollywood42

Set: 1988 Star Winston-Salem Spirits (Rate)

Card: #1 John Berringer

“ Is this the same Star that produced NBA basketball cards from 1983-84 through 1985-86? ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Your kidding me right? I have to stand here for a picture? Ok, here's my school yearbook pose. ” -addysdaddy

“ such a plain card and way too much blue. ” -nohascome

“ Ah man. It's John Berringer. Who the hell is John Berringer? ” -Young Kilo

“ Come on coach you just gotta let me play today. You can't say no to this face? ” -PDIZZLE

“ Dude was AWESOME in Platoon, a little less believable in Major League, though. ” -UNC_Samurai

“ I probably touched that card! ” -vrooomed

“ For just one moment in his professional career, this guy is #1. ” -ray fosse's ghost

“ Interesting that he's wearing a Winston-Salem cap, but a Cubs jacket. ” -jlaz10

Set: 1998 Collector's Choice (Rate)

Card: #168 Ugueth Urbina

“ Solid card. ” -SSG Temple

“ Never liked Collector's Choice so I guess I am not a collector. ” -NJDevils

“ Man, his parents must have really put a hurting on the Scrabble tiles the day after he was conceived. ” -UNC_Samurai

“ The Expos use of pinstripes on their home uniforms in this set was a little too much. ” -jlaz10

“ This is some really self-conscious typography... everything is little and artsy instead of being big and bold and legible. Whomever designed this probably never owned any baseball cards when they were a kid. ” -revnorb

“ This is one of the strangest names I have ever seen ” -Hollywood42

“ Heard he came out of prison still pumping 90 ” -Young Kilo

“ Finally, a "Did You Know?" worth knowing on the back. ” -jackal726

Set: 1977 Topps (Rate)

Card: #250 Bill Madlock

“ 77 Topps nice collectable set; lines up well visually, both front and back. Bill Madlock, strong player and a great star that quickly faded as a collectable because he never quite achieved super stardom. ” -sltyeager

“ Bought my first complete set in 1977...I bought it for $10 from a neighbor who broke down vending cases each year to pay for his card habit....miss that guy! ” -flcardtrader

“ I'm surprised this card wasn't tossed out... ” -UNC_Samurai

“ Nice card, excellent back. Wish I continued collecting in the 70s. ” -NJDevils

“ Love baseball cards from the 70's ” -uncaian

“ A perfect instance of how the Cubs used to put their uniform numbers inside their helmet insignia. Look for the 15 in the middle of the C. ” -jlaz10

“ He seems awfully unhappy to have his photo taken! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ These were pretty nice looking cards, except for the clunky typography in the little yellow pennant, so i'm not sure why this was the year i quit collecting baseball cards. ” -revnorb

“ Love the backs of '77 cards ” -Hollywood42

“ Never was one of my favorite designs of the 1970s, however, the team name, player's name, and position all on the front is what I like. Decent sized photo and no manufacturer logo. Guess it helps that they were the only game in town. Overall, a very nice card. The billboard effect for the stats was a nice touch. Nothing fancy, just little supports. ” -vrooomed

Set: 1976 Kellogg's (Rate)

Card: #8 Reggie Jackson

“ End of an era card for Mr. October before he became Mr. October. Always liked the simplicity of Kellogg's cards but didn't eat enough cereal as a kid to ever put one of those sets together! ” -flcardtrader

“ The card is only 3-D, but those glasses can see through seven or eight. ” -UNC_Samurai

“ I remember pulling these cards out if Frosted Flakes as a kid. Never got a Reggie, however.. ” -wamk

“ This card sure would look nice in my HOF binder. ” -vrooomed

“ This totally should have been Reggie Jackson of the Baltimore Orioles. ” -ray fosse's ghost

“ So realistic! ” -jlaz10

“ My younger brother would collect these types of cards, i always thought they were unbearably cheesy looking. Like, wow, knock yourself out with that adventurous typography why don'tcha? ” -revnorb

Set: 1990 Woolworth's Topps (Rate)

Card: #31 Rickey Henderson

“ I've heard many, many stories about Woolworth's, but I don't think I ever went into any, or if I did, I just don't remember. This card carries a great design and a good action photo. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ The best leadoff hitter of all time.... ” -suomibear8

“ Through the 1980s, these 33- or 44-card boxed sets available at "exclusive" outlets were not very popular. The funny thing about them still to this day, put a set up for sale, get $2. Put a single card up, get $1 for it. I would guess a lot of sets have been broken up. Nice cards for the player and team collectors. ” -vrooomed

“ WOOLWORTH'S!!!!!! ” -SSG Temple

“ These cards are before my time, but they're so attractive and colourful. A nice, cheap set like this would still be desirable, if any of the card companies would put something like this out. ” -Luckynumber78

“ Billy, here's a 1990s design that doesn't look good. ” -NJDevils

“ I wish there were more one-off sets like this produced today. It would take something like this to get me into a Woolworth. ” -jackal726

“ Highlight of the year- Rickey Henderson swings and misses ” -Hollywood42

“ Green and gold don't exactly compliment each other, but they work for the A's. ” -jlaz10

“ Rickey Henderson, looks great in the Green and Yellow. Nice set, had some good pics of some other great players. ” -grim25

Set: 2011 Topps Star Wars Galaxy 6 (Rate)

Card: #641 Secura's Grace

“ Twiilek are pretty cool. Her lower half looks a bit like it came out of QWOP, though. ” -Luckynumber78

“ This is actually really cool art for being a trading card of a Star Wars character i can't name. I used to buy Star Wars cards in 1978...i guess they went on without me! ” -revnorb

“ Very nice! I love this set, but was unable to get this card. Some of the cards in it are not so great, but this one is. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Warning! One in every 66 packs will exterminate your Jedi card collection. ” -UNC_Samurai

“ I'm pretty sure this is the first transgender star wars character... ” -SaveDaKid

“ Do they have an autographed version? I guess not. ” -NJDevils

“ Damn. ” -jlaz10

Set: 1982 Topps (Rate)

Card: #464 Juan Bonilla

“ One of Topps' most attractive designs in terms of colour and flair. Glad they brought these back in last year's Archives. The photography, however, leaves something to be desired. ” -Luckynumber78

“ This card would have been perfect without the fake signature. I know, broken record. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ That's a nice looking card. ” -Young Kilo

“ Love this old stuff ” -SSG Temple

“ I love how they give an individual game blurb on the back. Makes me want to see those "2 dazzling plays". ” -suomibear8

“ 1982 Topps "Hockey" design. I remember the buzz around the hobby about them looking like they should be a hockey design, not a baseball one. I also remember not liking it that much back then, but at least Topps photos were better than Donruss and Fleer's. ” -vrooomed

“ The Padres best look was their mid-80's pinstripes. They haven't looked the same in their navy and gold. ” -jlaz10

“ I just can't think of anything to say for this Juan... ” -Hollywood42

“ When Bobby Bonilla joined the league Juan was forced to change his name to Juan of two Bonilla... ” -SaveDaKid

“ This was from my 2nd year of collecting at age 7. Back then I thought the autographs cool. Now I hate cards with fake autographs. Another thing about this set.. I liked the backs with the fact blubs on them, but the dark green with the dark text was hard on my 7yo eyes. Now they are even harder to read ” -ThemightyOx

Set: 2008 Upper Deck Premier - Stitchings (Rate)

Card: #PSTI-FL Fred Lewis

“ I know a lot of people don't like the manufactured patches, but I think that they can be pretty cool. This is one of those times when it's cool, in my book. If this is a game used item, that's even more interesting! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ No back? disappointing... ” -Dixxy

“ At first glance I'd say "Ah hell no", but I get excited about any card numbered especially if only 15 were made... ” -SaveDaKid

“ Not a fan of the "Manufactured Patch" and these other goofy style inserts. And can they get the photo of the player any smaller? I can still make out the logo on the helmet! ” -vrooomed

“ Looks like Freddy photobombed the card. ” -NJDevils

“ I'm not averse to manufactured relics, especially not numbered ones, but I'm not convinced that Fred Lewis merited one. ” -Luckynumber78

“ Interesting way to celebrate a cycle. ” -jlaz10

“ Looks like a box of candy cigarettes. But really nice ones! ” -revnorb

“ I don't know Fred Lewis but I like this card. ” -jupiterhill
