Set: 2014 Topps Match Attax World Stars (Rate)

Card: #198 Igor Akinfeev

“ Great uniform! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ This really isn't a terrible design. It's WEIRD, and it's kinda STUPID, but it's not terrible. More interesting than the last 30 years of Topps base sets, anyway. ” -revnorb

“ What is that? Way too busy to make the cut for me, I got sea sick thinking about all the waves this card is making. ” -addysdaddy

“ I am not a real fan of Topps Attax no matter which sport. Geez this card is extra bright looks like it should be a 1994 card not 2014. Everything old is new again. ” -captkirk42

“ Only 2 attack for a goalkeeper? Bad ” -carthage44

Set: 1995 Upper Deck (Rate)

Card: #196 Ted Musgrave

“ Ted was always one of my favorite drivers. He never won a Cup race but he did win the Truck series Championship. I'm friends with him on Facebook but he never posts anything. He also is a cancer survivor. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Ted's real close enough ” -dah15

“ Ted, they moved the typewriter. ” -NJdevils

“ Interesting card, can't figure out what he is doing exactly. ” -captkirk42

“ I thought this was Will Ferrell from the side. ” -carthage44

Set: 2006 Inkworks Veronica Mars Season 1 (Rate)

Card: #64 Disguise

“ Never heard of the set or the series, but like it! ” -bkklaos

“ Everyone trying to capitalize on the trading card market during the 2000's. ” -carthage44

“ Veronica Mars a show I never got around to watching. Sort of wanted to but never did. This looks like they are either trying to pick up Anime fans or sex offenders who obsess over schoolgirl fantasies. ” -captkirk42

“ I hope these guys made some money off these cards ” -NJDevils

“ Not a fan of using same pic on front and back... regardless of type of card; Sport or non ” -SFC Temple

Set: 1995-96 Hoops (Rate)

Card: #29 Bobby Phills

“ 1995-96 Hoops was the second NBA set to enter my collection- therefor it holds a big place in my memories and is one of my favorite sets because of it. Design wise it is not all that spectacular though. Phills was killed in a street car accident- he was racing on the highway- and his number is retired by both Charlotte franchises, the team he was playing for at the time. (the first franchise moved to New Orleans in 2002) ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Nice but the name banner looks like some kind of out-o-bounds pylon. Name banners generally look better horizontal across the top or bottom of the card. If using the vertical side use the whole area and make it a border, not an afterthought. ” -captkirk42

“ I really like that they gave you the players college stats. You can never have enough stats. ” -carthage44

Set: 2005 Liga Mexicana de Beisbol (Rate)

Card: #NNO Enrique Quiñones

“ Always a big fan of the non-MLB cards, just because of the limited production and distribution. Plus, it's interesting to see what the smaller companies have to offer. I like the bat up the right side on the front, but I could without the digital effects on the reverse. ” -vrooomed

“ Nice card. Wow just looked it up and the Mexican Baseball League (Minor League) is celebrating it's 90th year. ” -captkirk42

“ Always cool to see foreign stuff but I wish they printed the team name nice and large because that tiny logo means nothing to me. What's his team called, the Tuneras? You can Tunera a piano, but you can't Tunera a fish? ” -revnorb

“ Who knew??? ” -carthage44

Set: 2003-04 Fleer Focus - NBA Shirtified (Rate)

Card: #17 Jermaine O'Neal

“ This was a cool insert concept because there were multiple parallels, and they told you where on the jersey the relic piece came from. The patches were taken from the names or number. On the relic version the relic takes the place of the team logo on the card front. Jermaine O'Neal was one of the first players who skipped college, entering the League in 1996-97 and he played until 2013-14. He's not related to Shaquille O'Neal. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ What the is "shirtified"? Dropping the "r" would better define the card. ” -C2Cigars

“ What's next NBA Shortified...for those players under 6'5"?? ” -addysdaddy

“ Some dashes that kinda look like stitches? HAHA BAD! ” -carthage44

“ Not sure what to think of this insert card. Not really worth talking about. ” -captkirk42

Set: 1997-98 Pacific Omega - Copper (Rate)

Card: #62 Jeff Odgers

“ One of Pacific's many parallels. They went even more nuts with the Cramer's Choice insert and parallels in the main Crown product. The Omega product was ok, but I was never a fan of the horizontal front. ” -vrooomed

“ Normally like Pacific stuff. Omega not so much. ” -captkirk42

“ Players like this are being phased out the league and I'm ok with it. ” -wax_house

“ Rather busy on the front, but no season stats on the back. Fan of the Pacific stuff but not this design. ” -Mihome316

“ I think he was an original Shark, tough guy but not a goon.I like this set, nice pics & write ups. ” -uncaian

“ ugh ” -captkirk42

“ Look, a Christmas card from Uncle Jeff! ” -domentho

Set: 1991 Pro Set Spanish (Rate)

Card: #190 Rich Camarillo

“ Nice. Yo Confuso mucho. Hehe. I have had some of these Spanish ones. I still have a few I think. I remember you had to be careful about these since they are virtually the same as the regular English ones. Looking for which cards you still need in the set and you see this but don't read it you think you have the full set. LOL. ” -captkirk42

“ Love punter and kicker cards for some stupid reason. ” -wax_house

“ If I may quote Homer Simpson, "Woohoo!!" My first scans to make Card of the Day. A billion cards in English wasn't enough for Pro Set. So they had to produced another billion in Spanish. ” -C2Cigars

“ I enjoy the Spanish cards. Still looking to add the '77 Topps Mexican to my collection ” -SFC Temple

“ These have to be rare. ” -carthage44

Set: 1990 Classic Yellow (Rate)

Card: #T39 Pat Borders

“ The famous Yankees Hall-of-Fame catcher Yogi Berra just passed away as you should now know. Like so many others, please try to consider putting a picture of him on your next "Card of The Day" update. And without Yogi, the Yankees and baseball won't be the same. Pat Borders would be a good picture at some other time--maybe. ” -Marty (Costa Mesa)

“ I missed getting this set and well. . . that is as it should be. ” -koloth42

“ Never was a fan of the "Classics" game cards. Not sure what it was, maybe because the first time I saw them was in the blister packs for the "game" at the toy store I worked in at the time. I thought of them as just part of a game not as collectible cards. Now I see their collecting "value". ” -captkirk42

“ More like RAD borders. ” -wax_house

“ I pat the borders and nothing happened. ” -NJDevils

“ I've recently really begun to appreciate yellow as a color, and on cards. I never really paid it any attention for a long time but now it's something I enjoy seeing. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Classic tried and almost always failed miserably. ” -carthage44

“ Hey a Blue Jay & one my favorites !! Card border scream 1990's.Nice to have a space provided for the autograph. ” -uncaian

“ The Jays are back! Run for the border! ” -domentho

Set: 1995 Conlon Collection TSN (Rate)

Card: #1341 Skippy Roberge

“ Just one of the many to have their career interrupted by WW2.Bio sounds like the typical all American boy from the late 30's to early 40's, high school standout whose country came first. Thanks for serving! He may be gone, but his card will honor him for years. Great to have cards that remember these guys. ” -Kaline6

“ The nice thing about these cards is the fact that it gave a card to some players who may not have had cards in the past (or they did but were way too pricey for the average collector to obtain). However, the borders are nearly impossible to keep mint. ” -vrooomed

“ Classic Retro. The Conlon Collection sets are a very good way to get many of the very old time players in any form. A great way to get not only the guys whose vintage cards are astronomical in price and ability to find, but also those guys who never had any card back in the day. ” -captkirk42

“ Nice card, nice story. ” -uncaian

“ Everyone had a nickname back in the day. ” -carthage44
