Set: 1990 Topps - 1990 All-Star Set Collector's Edition (Glossy Send-Ins) (Rate)

Card: #6 Carney Lansford

“ Baseball sure does have a lot of unknown All Star players. I am certain I might remember this guy if I was a baseball fan in the 90s who liked the A's and was a fan of third basemen. LOL! ” -yokonashiwa

“ When Carney Lansford is an All-Star, you know it's the late 80's early 90's. ” -carthage44

“ That is really plain for a Topps card. They usually do better. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Topps' Glossy All-Stars were quite pointless. Stick to regular set inserts, with stats. ” -jlaz10

“ I have these. This set heads my all-time boring list. ” -NJDevils

“ What does it say on my bat??? ” -Joshua825

“ Who liked these cards? - Me! ” -vrooomed

“ I always liked these sets, though I never actually sent off for any for some reason. Always managed a few from the plastic cube repacks at retailers though. ” -switzr1

“ Carney Lansford, one of the best Oakland Athletics 3rd baseman ever. ” -grim25

Set: 1999-00 Upper Deck (Rate)

Card: #224 Adonal Foyle

“ You really can't teach height. Because of it he had an NBA career. Without it he's washing dishes ” -Young Kilo

“ One of my personal "pet peeves" is when a series 1 and a series 2 don't look alike, and UD did that in 1999-00 and 2000-01. Series 1 featured a blue back while series 2 featured orange. Of course, nowadays I'd be happy for any series 2 at all. The last time one was issued for the NBA was 2002-03. Adonal Foyle was one of those players who was always in the League but didn't get cards all that often. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Watched this kid play in HS in New York... Man among boys ” -SFC Temple

“ Ugh, don't remind me of the navy, gold, and red Warriors. Stick to royal and gold. ” -jlaz10

“ Foyle trying to foil the Admiral! ” -Joshua825

Set: 2003 Press Pass Eclipse - Solar Eclipse (Rate)

Card: #P26 Steve Park

“ Looks like he's sticking his head thru one of those brackets that holds a micro SD card in place in an iPhone. ” -revnorb

“ This was the second year of Eclipse. and the last year they did this style parallel of it. Good scan, they don't generally scan that well. 2003 was pretty much the end of his Cup career, he never fully recovered from the massive head injuries he suffered in September 2001. He was fired from this team, DEI (Dale Earnhardt Inc.), during 2003, and never got another full time Cup ride. A shame, what happened to him. Even today his speech is still slightly off from the injuries he suffered, and probably always will be. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Looks like Park's head is sticking through a window. ” -koloth42

“ Design on front - thumbs down. Design on back - thumbs up. ” -vrooomed

“ I love the Press Pass Nascar sets, great designs and even better looking inserts and parallels! This is a perfect example, design looks like it was cut out to me! ” -Joshua825

“ Way too much border going on for my liking. ” -switzr1

“ A very bright gold. I like it. ” -jlaz10

Set: 2000 Future Bee Power League UL (Rate)

Card: #018 Jong Beom Lee

“ Wow, I can't believe someone actually has this card! ” -carthage44

“ Still trying to figure out if the name of the company is Future Bee and the name of the set is Power League, or if the name of the card company is just Future and the name of the set is Bee Power. It's probably the former but I think it would be much more interesting as the latter. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Are the Dragons a Dodgers farm team? Sure looks like there was a little design copying going on here. ” -vrooomed

“ Cool card. I wish I had more of the Japanese baseball cards. I lived there for two years while my Dad was in the Air Force and was only able to get the team set for the Hanshin Tigers. Maybe I will start searching Amazon and eBay for the Japanese cards. ” -yokonashiwa

“ Lee was a 13-time All-Star, a batting champion and MVP in the KBO. This card comes from his none-too-successful four years in Japan. ” -DaClyde

“ At first glance I thought for sure this was the Dodgers! A good copy, though. ” -jlaz10

“ Very different card design....looks like he's watching himself bat? ” -Joshua825

Set: 1997 SP (Rate)

Card: #57 Marquis Grissom

“ Really liked this design...although I have to admit that I like the blue that was used for both the NBA and NASCAR more than this orangish color. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I liked most of the SP card designs but not this one. ” -carthage44

“ Not a bad design, but a little too much gold color on the front. Good sets though. ” -Joshua825

“ Another product with too much space devoted to the company and/or brand. Take off the triangle of SP-ness on the left, and it's a pretty nice card. With it, it's just ok. ” -vrooomed

“ Looks like he is beating on a wall with a bat. MR. GORBACHEV, TEAR DOWN THIS WALL!!! ” -revnorb

“ Just overall POOR....maybe ever worse. Seems as though the photo was an after thought. ” -NJdevils

“ Ugly card design, but a good picture on the front. ” -yokonashiwa

Set: 1996-97 Collector's Choice (Rate)

Card: #242 Andrei Nazarov

“ Always loved the old Sharks logo. They should have never changed it. ” -carthage44

“ Nice low-priced product made it nice to collect. UD has always used very good to spectacular photography, even with their lesser-priced products. CC is no exception. In hockey, there aren't a lot of meaningful stats, so Gm, G, A, P, & PIM is all you really need (maybe they could have added +/-, but many people dismiss that stat), and that's what they have here. Plus, IIRC, they included full career stats, a plus in my book. ” -vrooomed

“ I liked this set, clean, nice, affordable & had good looking front and back.Nazarov was a hard hitter,I think he's a coach in Russia now. ” -uncaian

“ Didn't we just have a Sharks Hockey card? ” -koloth42

“ Cool design, although it looks like he's trying to wrest the puck away from his own name... ” -revnorb

“ Beautiful Sharks sweaters. Orange doesn't fit anywhere in their sweater except for the crest. ” -jlaz10

“ I have a soft spot for these cards. I like the prominent team colors in the border, good photos, full career statistics, and the inclusion of trivia on the back. ” -DanD

Set: 1999-00 Upper Deck Swedish Hockey League (Rate)

Card: #51 Mikko Konttila

“ Very cool to see that they issued cards for a league(s) not based in the USA. Wish they would do that for my sports. Now would be the ideal time too as the US leagues have exclusive contracts (which is really bad for the hobby) ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Must be marketed for North America/US as the card is in English. Design looks like UD Choice. A little busy, but not too bad considering the time frame. ” -vrooomed

“ Euro-Hockey uniforms just give me a headache. I am not against having adverts on uniforms but this is way too much. A tastefully done patch would be about all I would like. ” -Gunny

“ I never cared too much for the older SEL cards. I do like the Finnish Cardset and KHL sets out now though. ” -suomibear8

“ Can you say overkill? ” -carthage44

“ Ummm....colorful much? Nice design though... ” -Joshua825

“ Please, uniform gods, keep uniform advertisements in Europe. ” -jlaz10

Set: 1995 Finest (Rate)

Card: #36 Edgar Martinez

“ Finest cards looked so nice when I peeled the coating off. Unpeeled cards like this drive me crazy! ” -switzr1

“ Nice design. Always have liked Finests. At least the cover doesn't have writing over his face! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ If you want to keep the protector on, great. But for scanning, I think only those minus the protectors should be scanned. This card is ugly to begin with, the extra words do not help. ” -NJdevils

“ I need Gravol after looking at this card front. ” -uncaian

“ It's interesting how the M's uniforms look pretty sleek today, even though they're 20 years old. ” -jlaz10

“ The protective coating always gave Finest that "I'm more important than all you other cards" look. ” -carthage44

“ I'm not sure if you can consider a hall of famer underrated, but if so, Martinez has to be near the top of the list. This guy was the Derek Jeter of Seattle, minus the send-off and all of the post-season appearances. ” -Id8jlb8666

“ What X-Men movie is this still from? ” -revnorb

Set: 1990 Swell Greats (Rate)

Card: #50 Tom Fears

“ Scary card. (too corny, sorry!) ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Tom fears the end. ” -wax_house

“ Tom apparently fears catching the ball with anything except his upper arms. ” -UNC_Samurai

“ I like these type of sets because it allows the young collector to get affordable cards of otherwise tough-to-find players. ” -vrooomed

“ I bought one pack of these recently. I was lucky enough to get the HOF Admission Coupon, which is actually numbered in the set. I like this set. ” -switzr1

“ Sleeves! On a football jersey! Oh wait, those used to exist. ” -jlaz10

“ I got it! I got it! Looks like he got it...in the chest...ow.... ” -Joshua825

Set: 1994 Donruss - 90's Dominators: Batting Average (Rate)

Card: #9 Lenny Dykstra

“ Nice insert design. Simple yet effective. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ This guy has a pretty long rap sheet. ” -carthage44

“ Lenny, Lenny, Lenny. We loved you in Philly. How far you fell. As for the card itself, Not bad for an insert. ” -vrooomed

“ Decent set, wish I could have pulled more of the inserts. ” -Joshua825

“ I love how the '90s only ran til 1993. This subset would have made more sense had they waited until 2000 to put it out. Oh well, maybe they were afraid he wouldn't play into the new decade. ” -yokonashiwa

“ If you couldn't tell it was from the 90's because it says "90's" on it, you could certainly tell it by the oversized "D" and "S" in "DOMINATORS"... ” -revnorb

“ The Phillies uniform font needs a serious upgrade. ” -jlaz10

“ I like sets like this, where the players are included for a specific reason, like top ten batters of the decade. Nice looking set too. ” -switzr1
