Year: 1977
Set: Topps (Rate)
Card: #250 Bill Madlock
“ 77 Topps nice collectable set; lines up well visually, both front and back. Bill Madlock, strong player and a great star that quickly faded as a collectable because he never quite achieved super stardom. ” -sltyeager
“ Bought my first complete set in 1977...I bought it for $10 from a neighbor who broke down vending cases each year to pay for his card habit....miss that guy! ” -flcardtrader
“ I'm surprised this card wasn't tossed out... ” -UNC_Samurai
“ Nice card, excellent back. Wish I continued collecting in the 70s. ” -NJDevils
“ Love baseball cards from the 70's ” -uncaian
“ A perfect instance of how the Cubs used to put their uniform numbers inside their helmet insignia. Look for the 15 in the middle of the C. ” -jlaz10
“ He seems awfully unhappy to have his photo taken! ” -Billy Kingsley
“ These were pretty nice looking cards, except for the clunky typography in the little yellow pennant, so i'm not sure why this was the year i quit collecting baseball cards. ” -revnorb
“ Love the backs of '77 cards ” -Hollywood42
“ Never was one of my favorite designs of the 1970s, however, the team name, player's name, and position all on the front is what I like. Decent sized photo and no manufacturer logo. Guess it helps that they were the only game in town. Overall, a very nice card. The billboard effect for the stats was a nice touch. Nothing fancy, just little supports. ” -vrooomed
