Year: 2001
Set: Fleer Tradition (Rate)
Card: #302 Antonio Alfonseca
“ Nice throwback design. This was not used in Fleer's basketball issues. ” -Billy Kingsley
“ I like any card that consciously tries to not look modern, because I have great disinterest in modern-looking cards. That said, as with most Fleer products, there isn't much to get excited about here. I'm not nuts about horizontal cards, I don't really get the whole two-photo thing, and what's the point of using a stock Photoshop filter effect on the action shot? I do kind of like the back, with the little cartoon. High six! ” -revnorb
“ I liked this design a lot better when it was called Topps Big, and I hated Topps Big. ” -Id8jlb8666
“ Looks like a half rate senior photo for a high schooler. ” -Howintensive
“ If there is a word that I would least associate with the Marlins circa 2001 it would be "tradition". ” -UNC_Samurai
“ The Marlins looked good for a time with their original colors. But hey, nothing lasts forever. ” -jlaz10
“ Does he follow the C.C. Sabbathia plan for pitchers? I wonder if he has a World Series ring for the 1997 year? If he does, he has more than I ever will have. As for the card, looks nice, but not so sure I like the staring off into the distance look. Of course if he was staring right at you it might be creepy. So, meh. ” -yokonashiwa
