Year: 2010

Set: Topps Supreme - Autographed Dual Relics Blue (Rate)

Card: #SADR-EM Eli Manning

“ Wow, impressive card. Although I'm pretty clueless when it comes to football, even I know who he is. Interesting that the two rarest cards as Card of the Day have both been in the past week. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ A fine QB, with a couple Super Bowl rings. He still didn't look too thrilled when Peyton won his 2nd. ” -Kaline6

“ Why couldn't he center his signature? Or Topps if they inserted it into the card. He couldn't of been tired and rushing through, there is only five of them. ” -RoyalChief

“ WOW, super rare card. NICE!!! ” -carthage44

“ Dictionary.com "relic" : 'a surviving memorial of something past. 2. an object having interest by reason of its age or its association with the past: a museum of historic relics. Yes, a real relic of Eli. ” -NJDevils

“ Is that on-card auto? 1/5 cool. I'm not a relic fan so whatever with that. Is that rubber from a ball tee? Shoe soul? Ball bladder? Can't read the fine letters around that say "game used xxx" ” -captkirk42

"center his signature"?   I know this is Eli and not Peyton but I saw an interview with Peyton Manning done while he was signing photos at a table.   He looked continually at the interviewer while an aide would slide the photos under his pen as Manning slid the just completed photo to the side.    Never once looked at what he signed.

Sounds like the cooks at my local Burger King.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff.  Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Peyton, however, did not spit on his photos.

I'd love to be part of the five person "club" of owners of this card!  Looks like two are taken by TCDB members, so my hunt for one of the remaining three is on!

NJDevils; you're so right. You'd never destroy a true relic by chopping it up into little pieces.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
