Random Card of the Day

Year: 2005-06

Set: Hoops - HoopScripts (Rate)

Card: #HS-RM Rashad McCants

“ Nice! This was the last issue of Hoops under the Fleer/Skybox aegis- they went out of business shortly thereafter. The Hoops brand is owned by the NBA and was brought back in 2011-12 with Panini. I did get to see him play but most of his career was spent while I was away from the sport for 5 seasons- now something I consider one of if not the biggest mistakes of my life. Those T-Wolves jerseys were the best. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Hey, my first card of the day! McCants lasted four years in the NBA and his career was over at age 24. But his autograph looks like Run DMC, so that's cool. ” -bevans

“ The on card auto is the only thing that is good about this card. ” -carthage44

“ Looks like a candy wrapper or a for a bar of soap. ” -NJDevils

“ Can they use the word "hoops" one more time ” -parsley24

“ Nice auto card. ON Card? Extra cool if so. On the back instead of congratulating the collector on getting an autographed card, I think they should have a brief career overview (or career highlights) of the player. ” -captkirk42

“ This is a good looking card. Well balanced. If I was to change anything I would want the team logo larger and Hoops Scripts logo smaller. If they were switched around, I would love this card. ” -cnangle

“ Prime example of why I have no interest in autographs. Someone's initials is not an autograph. ” -C2Cigars

“ I wonder if he signs his checks like this... ” -rmitchell6700

“ Not bad, a pretty cool looking auto. ” -muskie027

“ I think the sideways autograph card is the way to go. There's plenty of room for a nice picture and the autograph isn't right on top of the photo of the player. Also you can put half of the card in white like this one is here and the autograph stands out more. ” -TheToddFather21

“ I'm not into basketball, but I can say that I like that design. ” -beansballcardblog

I totally zoned out on this one. This is NOT produced by Fleer, but this is part of the Upper Deck era of Fleer. I don't know what I was thinking. Since it was a week ago, I can't remember. Maybe I was tired. If not, let's go with that anyway. Since I can't be sure, I mean, it MIGHT be true!

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.

I lile the clean look, simple most often is more eye appealing, than busy. The ONLY NEGATIVE I have about this & ALL AUTOS & GAME USED - There isn't one thing about the player on the back. That "guaranteed authentic" COA can be reduced as to font & stick it at the lower end. I like player info, stats, trivia or something personal about them. Panini really should throw some INFO on backs other than that COA. The  On Card Auto is a huge PLUS!! I don't like stickers that can gather dust on the edges if your buying from sellers that didn't sleeve and load them into a case. The stickers that (i.e. - Junior Motorsports Sticks over the edge of an autograph) is more appealing for those and sometimes the stickers autos are apparently put on by folks with eyesight issues bcz they are sideways on some & that really hurts the value a lot. By value I'm staying it both ways as to collectabilty & market value. Cards cpstomg what they do now and contain used materials should be hands on, no machine labels or the like. Crooked labels jist ruin the appeal for me entirely no matter the rarity of it and sometimes the rarity of say 2/10 with crooked sticker means it's a bust on that set entirely. Anyway, 2 cents..
