Wednesday, March 21, 2018Year: 1941 Set: Gum Inc. Superman (R145) (Rate) Card: #69 Saved from Burial Alive “ Awesome! This set was ranked in my top 3 most wanted for many years until I finally found three of them in 2014...locally, no less! This is the first comic book set ever, Superman had only debuted 3 years earlier. I had my first comic read to me at 5 days old and I credit the medium with my large lexicon, interest in science and printed media, and so much more. Superman was in that first comic but did not play a large role. This is my favorite Card of the Day in 2018 so far. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I love the old look to Superman. This is pretty cool. On the negative, there is no logo on the front, I don't see a name, so I had to turn it over to see it is Superman and the back has NO stats, let alone just the current year. Sorry, I couldn't resist! ” -muskie027
