Year: 2012

Set: Press Pass Legends - Silver Holofoil (Rate)

Card: #28 Benny Parsons

“ I like the look. I hate the sport. ” -davidhandberry

“ Good Old Benny Parsons....I miss him. Love the old classic yearly car/drive photo taken at Daytona every year that is on the back. Decent card, but a little color would not have hurt. ” -tbshaw

“ Great looking Back. I love the older cars when they actually looked like....cars...and not clones of each other, even over different manufacturers. Kinda neat to have such a low serial number too. ” -rmpaq5

“ Nice racing card. Serial numbered. Looks to have everything I would want in a racing card. If I followed racing like I did baseball or football I'd know who Mr. Parsons was. ” -captkirk42

“ Benny Parsons was a cool guy. Was a championship winner in his younger years, then became one of the best broadcasters ever. Sadly, cancer claimed his life in 2007. This photo is from 1988, his final year of competition. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ If I was a racing collector, I would think this is a cool card. Great picture of driver on front and car on back. Bordering is nice. I think it is pretty cool. ” -muskie027

“ Nice. Like the b/w stuff. ” -Doc Floyd

I still miss BP to this day. He will always be the best color commentator in NASCAR history.

Press Pass Legends is clearly the best catalogue of the history of NASCAR racing cards, as well as other types of racing cards, that has ever been created. I miss Press Pass even more than I miss the commentary of Benny. The 2012 set was never close to my favorite though. The 2010 set stands out in my mind much more than this 2012 set. I never was interested in the Legends set until I bought a box of 2010 Legends. Then I was hooked on the nostalgia. I've been chasing all of the HMS cards since then and still haven't completed a single rainbow.

@spazmatastic Same. I like Press Pass NASCAR cards. The 2002 set is my favorite.
