Frequently Asked Questions

  • How should card numbers be inputted for sets?
  • The card numbers listed on checklists should try to reflect the card numbers as they appear on the cards themselves, including any dashes, prefixes, or suffixes*. Unnumbered cards should be entered in as "NNO".

Additional letters not found on the actual card numbers are allowed on sets with numeric card numbers to distinguish error/corrected versions and variations (i.e., 1a, 1b), but are not necessary on sets with card numbers comprised of letters only or sets comprised of alphanumeric card numbers where most cards have a variation.

Panels comprised of multiple cards should be denoted with slashes between the card numbers of the individual cards that make up the panel. (Ex: 22 / 23 / 24)

    * Cards with formatting like "31/250" or "18 of 20" do not need the "/XXX" or "of XX" suffixes added with the exception of Pokemon cards where this suffix informs other aspects of the cards.
