One of Star Company's hardest to find items, made for a set that never was produced. It's blank backed and the front is glossy.
I had forgotten all about their existence until I just found 2 while moving some other stuff around (big re-org happening at home - got shelving units for the binders - none on floor now! - and had to reshuffle about 5 or 6 years of accumulation of junk). One is for my collection. The other is being offered here.
As always, perks for being a TCDB member - if you win it, free shipping. If you use the Buy It Now, you'll get bonus cards as well.
(Notice the price of the PSA 9 that is also on ebay right now.) Good luck!

Thanks. I too was dissappointed at the time, as I was a big fan of his during his playing days. (And was thrilled when he signed with the Phillies!)
I knew this weekend when I found these 2 cards that I had found a rarity. $450 for a PSA 9 might be a little out of touch, but I feel as though I have priced mine reasonably.
I can't wait until I get the rest of this stuff cleared out and I get back into all my Star stuff. All my extras will be made available.

1988 was a bad year for Pete, if I remember my roomate telling me what was about to go down on ESPN the next morning correctly, per his dad who had been answering their FBI questions. But he never bet on the Reds to lose so there is that.

Pete bet on every Reds game but he always bet on them to win.

I see the Rose card received a bid - was it a member here?
This also means that the Buy It Now offer is off the table (unless the bidding goes over the BIN price ($80)). I'll put back on the table for TCDB members. :)
