Hi ... just a few words/questions concerning the subject. Is there anyway to view or post transactions completed by other members? It appears that our members have so much to offer in trade and/or sale, but most of us are only privy to our own deals through transactions through direct messaging. For example, 1 of our members recently rec'd @1000 non-sports cards from me, or trading 1 for 1 for a 1964 PGC card. I'm presently pulling all Houston Rocket cards for a member etc...... My point is... if members saw that, maybe that would initiate more trading /selling of cards to other members in need. Another example, I posted that I wanted Philadelphia Eagle RCs, but if our readers don't log on and comment within a day, the post gets buried and the possibility of a deal is squashed. Just thinking there might be other ways of letting members know about other members' collections to stimulate more swapping. Happy Easter to all, may you get "packs" in your basket. ~BOB~

I agree with Bob. The ability to research trades and what is up for trade needs to be improved. For example, I would like to be able to see all of the O Pee Chee cards for any particular year that is presently being offered. Yet, right now the only way I can do this is to look at one card at a time. Time consuming and frustrating.

SandyRusty, I believe what you want to do is this:
Go to a year set (i.e., 1970-71 O-Pee-Chee hockey); click on "Collection Summary"; under "Reports" click on "Members with cards from this set on their For Sale / Trade List"
-------------------------------
Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I have had a successful transaction with BOBSCARDZ, it would be nice to be able to reflect that somewhere (other than typing it here!).

There are also options on your collection page to see who is offering which cards FS/FT that match your wantlist and vice versa. Then, when going to each members' profile page, there is an option to see which cards they have FS/FT that matches your wantlist and again, vise versa. These are excellent tools, but force you to have your wantlist as up to date as possible with the specific cards you want. Same goes for your FS/FT list. This aids the existing tools immensely and can lead to more offers for transactions from others. My OCD forces me to keep these lists up to date as well;-) There are a few members on here who love to trade and they literally have a million cards on their wantlist, but nothing on a FS/FT list so it makes it difficult to broker a trade without a ton of messages back and forth. Likewise for those who are selling or willing to trade thousands of their cards but don't show any cards in a wantlist.
There is some more room for improvement and I would love to see a "acquisition pending" option for cards in my collection so I don't accidentally trade the same cards to 2 different people.
As for seeing what the substance of a completed trade is, I believe if the transaction is done through the transaction manager on this site and both sides close the transaction as complete, there is an option to show the details of the deal. I believe both parties have to agree to reveal the details.
Many of you know that I love to trade and hopefully I have been fair and completed every transaction to everyone's satisfaction.
Happy trading! Hoppy Easter!
Dan

If someone is serious about buy/sell/trade, all they have to do is click on he buy/sell/trade link and you get everything that was entered even if it is not on the home page. I don't think that is major issue or shouldn't be.

Thanks C2cigars. First time I see that option. Will make use of it.

Good morning... Please, don't get me wrong, THIS IS A GREAT SITE.....multi dimensional for collectors that only use it as a database, or like others, I like to t/s/b and add to my collection wherever possible, at the same time helping other members. Many of us use it many different ways. Remember those 'ole days..."Do you have a Mantle?, I will trade you a Musial and Mays for Mantle." I am not looking for an overall of the site, but if the admin has the ability to expand searches, be progressive, the site would be even better. Just another example ... if I have all these BB cards to t/s, and a member says" Could I have all your ROCKETS ... maybe another member sees this and thinks, hey I would like all your BULLETS????, but doesn't realize or see that he can. All in alI, I have never seen a bad word spoken, the TCDB members are real nice, helpful people....and that's great! Enjoy your holiday with family ...... ~BOB~

I won't be adding a want list or a trade list until I get all my cards entered. Last thing I want to do is trade for a card I already have. Slow process for me because my collection was completely disorganized when it sat in a storage unit for over ten years. Eventually I will probably transfer all of my doubles to a trade list, but I haven't decided what I will put on my wantlist. Maybe missing cards from sets closest to completion, plus missing cards of favorite teams. I really don't want to add every missing card from my collection to my wantlist.
Of course, my brother gets first shot at my doubles, since he is in the same town and there is no shipping involved. This whole process is maddening, but really really fun too!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
