Hi.
I have an odd proposition and some alternate propositions.
I would gladly trade my 1993 ToppsGold cards (message me for a list -- there are 72 of them) for the identical cards from the base set. I've let this alone for 22 years, but I was going through them, and it's bothering me. I just collect base sets. That's all I want. I don't want or like the variations. But when the 1993 set came out, I didn't know what the gold cards were. I figured they were just fancy versions of the regular cards. I didn't know they were considered a whole other set. So I kept the pretty gold ones. Now, they drive me nuts. I can't read the names, and they're not really part of the set I've collected. I want them gone. I know there are people who like the foil and the gold and the silver and the upside down backwards versions of sets, although I have no delusions of people caring about this set right now.
But I would gladly trade these one to one for the identical base cards. Or if someone has a bunch of 1993s they're trying to get rid of, I'd be happy to buy these 72 cards at a fair, hopefully cheap price.
To a much lesser extent, I've got the same problem with the 1992s. Although, there it's just 12 of them, so I can buy them more easily.
Anyway, I haven't traded here, but I'll mail first, or send you my first born, or whatever you need to trust a judge from DC in making a trade or sale.
Let me know.
Happy collecting.
