I consider any card that I have one of, as part of my collection. But many of these, I'd also like to offer for sale or trade. I have been trying to figure out a way to do this. The only way that comes to mind is to go to the cards I am interested in parting with, and adding a second card for sale or trade. When I make a trade, the for sale card would delete automatically, then I could go in and manually remove the other listed card from my collection. Does this idea make any sense to anyone, or do you have other thoughts on this? Thanks to all! Love this site.

I do the same, and have some of my Collection cards on my Trade list. I'm always willing to consider trading a Collection card for a Mets, Sabres, Raiders, Syracuse card that I need for my Teams collections. And have done so quite a few times. The Rocky card you just got from me is a prime example. But there's really no practical way to let other members know this. I definitely have cards that are "off-limits" but the vast majority would come under consideration.
EDITED, see my next post below.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I like that suggestion--"Match Wantlist to Member's Collection". It really is quite inconvenient to go in and items one-by-one (-ish) to determine what is and isn't "open to an offer". I would assume I'm not the only one to not have taken the time to do it.
And the opt out would help make that a bit more palatable to those who would oppose. You could do something similar today, I guess, by checking your wantlist card-by-card, seeing how many are listed in collections for each, and then e-mailing each to see if he/she is open to a trade. But this new alternative could be used to make that a lot easier and convenient. Worst case someone has opted out or says "no thanks".

pretty sure on the individual card, with the drop menu, you can use the "Add Another to For Sale/Trade" or "Add Another to Collection" depending on what you're doing. The Collection will just show the check mark and the duplicate line For Sale/Trade will be Green.

I totally agree about needing collection matching wantlist. If it could be something simple like going into another members wantlist (we will use Kaline6 as an example) click on 1968 Topps and it will show all the wants highlighted in reddish pink. Now if you had a card in your collection the line for that card would be a different color like blue, kinda like how your wants/collection/trade are all different colors when you view your collection. Does this make since?

After thinking about it, I think the reverse would be better. "Match my Collection to member's Wantlist". For instance, Kaline6 has cards I want on his Trade list. But, I have nothing he wants on my Trade list. If I could compare/match my Collection cards to his Wantlist, I might see some cards I'd be willing to move out of my Collection into my Trade list for a trade with Kaline6.

Chuck's last idea there makes a lot of sense. I wouldn't trade anything but a duplicate, but I can totally see where this would be useful for others. And there might be an instance where a double of mine could match up for a trade with another member's regular collection.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I know this is an old forum but did anybody ever get an answer to if we could post in our all cards in my collection and in for sale trade also? I've been looking for about 3 hours and I still can't find a way to do it.
Or do I just have to put everything in for sale trade and nothing in my collection except maybe the ones I want to keep. I just bought like 40,000 to 50,000 cards and still would probably like to keep some, but have them offered up for sale too.

If this helps you can go to a member's profile and see Cards in your Collection that match their Wantlist. You can save them in your Collection and not have them in For Sale Trade but have the ability to match it with their Wantlist if they have something you want bad enough to part with a Card. Not sure if this is what you are asking?
