While trading, how do you show the price per card?
Is it too late once a transaction has started?

I won't show on the trade itself, but they can access it when they see your Trade List. It would include all cards not just the ones in the trade.
I often just click each link for each card and do a running total of the median values. I don't know of any other way, sorry.

Checking our previous two deals, the notes reflect median prices were mentioned, but that was my doing not anything the system generated.

Maybe its just me, but I NEVER worry about prices of cards when trading. If both parties are happy, Im good.......An example, I pretty much gave away a Harper rookie. He is not a Phillie, and Im not a fan of the guy, so the card ment " nothing" to me........Like I said, Im " diffrent".

I'm with you for the most part, and I've found some guys who've traded with me with that same outlook, then others to whom it does matter. I can live with both and anyone in between.
If it'll get me my Astros, Cowboys, or Rockets, then I'm a chameleon that says, "When in Rome..."

I also agree, ....rarely do I consider pricing unless requested by my trading partner. Actually sometimes it becomes annoying when your offer is, " my value is $19.17, Yours is $10.02, maybe add a few more cards" Pooh!
NOW, I asked this question before, other than the giant Almanacs...Does everybody except Beckett values in general? ----OR----- Is there a better price guide out there?
I'm trying to attach values to "my collection" cards....don't really care about my trade/sale list.

Also, ADMIN, can we add and an underline option?

It benefits me greatly when monetary value is detached from cards because I have but a few for trade that are "worth" in excess of a couple of dollars. A scan of my collection shows a few Kobe RC, a 1962 Topps Al Cicotte, and a way overvalued Barry Bonds 73-homer tribute card that I acquired via trade that wouldn't have been traded to me if not for my trade partners foregoing price. And I appreciate it highly.
Put the shoe on the other foot, and truth be told, I haven't yet been that generous. My wife who doesn't care for me spending on my hobby - and I only trade now, no purchases except when given gift cards - says that I should include extra cards for those with whom I trade. I've started doing that in some cases, but not in all, and it's not easy for me. (End of confession. May I please be absolved?)

Well, I can see it both ways. I don't mind trading some of my extras for cards that I need in my collection. But when I get nervous is when I am trading away older cards for new cards, then I feel the need to see value.
It is not a big deal I have had nothing but great trades with everyone and those that I didn't like I have said thanks but no thanks.

It is a fair point. Hopefully nobody here is offering a 1991 Fleer baseball commons for vintage cards. I ended up completely turning off the pricing on my collection since it is often so far out of whack with reality and I didn't want to take the time to research sales and auctions to update it myself. I would get a good laugh if someone proposed a trade to me using values from this site as substantiation of values.
If I want a book value for whatever reason I generally turn to an old Beckett monthly but I find I do that less and less over time. Of course I would rarely pay what Beckett shows as values, but I do think you can use it to approximate values of cards that are 5+ years old. Not perfect, but sometimes better than taking the time to research specific card sales.
I do think in trading we should attempt to be as reasonable as possible in making sure deals are fair for both parties. As you said, if you don't feel good about it then don't do it.
