Buy/Sell/Trade Forum

Okay, now that's funny lol. Thanks for a good laugh.

I'm with everyone else here. I usually don't check the buy/sell/trade forum often, as I don't use ebay. For some reason this thread caught my eye this morning. But from what I've observed, we have this forum on this site for a reason. Promote your own ebay listings. Pleass, by all means. It can call attention to cards that some people may want that they would otherwise never see. But don't try and con people. First of all, almost everyone here is too smart for that, as just a bit of detective work showed. Second, it's just...I don't know the word, pointless? If someone is genuinely interested, they'll bite. No need to try and fool anyone. 

Sorry for the small rant...just something I don't like. I would also like to reiterate how funny I found the Jordan comment. Still can't get over that entire thread lol. 

DI YOU KNOW HOW ANNOYING IT IS WHWN PEOPLE TYPE IN ALLCAPS WITH TYPOS EVERYWHERE THAT THEY DONT TKAE LITERALLY ONE SECOND TOO FIX.

WHATS EVEN MORE ANNOYING IS WHEN SOMEONE MAKES AN ACCOUNT ON A WEBSITE JUST TO ADVERTISE... OOPS, I MEAN TELL EVERYONE ABOUT A "GREAT DEAL." WOW THAT GUY GOT LUCKY WHOEVER PULLED IT.  

I HAVE NO TOLERANCE FOR CRAP LIKE THIS. TO BE HONEST, I THINK EVERYONE ELSE HAS BEEN RATHER TAME WITH YOU. LIKE EVERYONE ELSE SAID, JUST FREAKING TELL US YOUR MOTIVE.  BE LIKE A NORMAL HUMAN BEING AND SAY

Be like a normal human being and say, "Hey guys, I just put up a Kris Bryant blah blah blah on eBay for a pretty great price: $1400! If you are interested, you can check it out here. (Link) Also, I like this website a lot and I swear I'm not joining simply to advertise my crap."

People don't like it when you try to deceive them, no matter how amusingly terrible that attempt is. (Seriously, why on earth would you create an account that is almost nearly the same as your eBay account? I'm actually laughing at how dumb that is right now.) It turns people off. I know for a fact if I had been interested in throwing down 1400 freaking dollars on that card, I wouldn't be now. All that does is tick me off. Why do you have to lie? (And make it so blatantly obvious too.) 

Anyway, that's the end of my rant. Say hi to your bro for me.

honestly im sorry but im having yard sales everyday since my dad passed trying to keep food on the table for my mom and brothers and sisters and im just trying anything to get this thing sold my life is falling apart and im desperate. ill do anything to keep my family off the street so im trying anything i can but there are only so many hours in a day i can work im sorry  

There's being desperate and there's trying to deceive. I feel badly for you in either case. And after that initial post, and how blatantly dishonest it was, I'm not sure how many people are going to believe your desperate story at this point (I know I'm leaning toward not believing it). (I also don't believe the "yard sales everyday" thing since most yard sales are only held on Fridays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays. I've yet to ever see a yard sale on a Tuesday, so again, I'm finding it real hard to believe absolutely anything that you're posting on this site or on ebay.)

No lies. But I hyped it a bit.

This site is full of people who have been in the hobby longer than the Blue Jays and Mariners. Some were in the hobby before the Pilots and Padres. We even have some that were collectors before the Mets and Astros (Colt 45s) were an option to collect. In other words, there's a lot of hobby experience here. We can smell a lie a mile away. Again, just don't.
