I gave up during March Madness whe UCLA lost and it was because they had 2 white guys on the court.
I hope he becomes the next Christan Latener (sp) or in hockey Benn Wilson. Found out not a great player just so much better then who he was playing around, and then put to much pressure on self to do better.
In football I say don't tell me how good he played all year, How good was he when they played the likes Alabama's, Ohio State, Michigan and USC.
My thing with Dak Prescott is against Alabama near end of game he pressured himself to make great play, and came up short. With Dallas he has that someone to help with making that great play.
Usally the best kid on the field in youth football play QB and they leard to do it them selfs. Had a nepthew that played QB and he was told run it when ever you can, and if receivers covered run it. His RBs were blockers most the time.
It is what you learn when young that you keep doing. That why I hate "tanking" your team learns how easy it is to loose.
- Hitting is contagious, and so are SO
- Think what will I do if ball hit to me.
- There over 60 umpires in baseball, hense there are over 60 strike zones learn them.
- and for 2 kids I coached in Murray, UT -- a walk and a stolen base is as good as a double
- and catchers don't think what pitch you would call when batting, what are they throwing is what you have to hit. ( I struck out on a 0-2 count when i said to self, waste pitch, it was right down the pike. I dropped the bat, doffed the helmet and walked away)

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

I believe Lonzo is the real deal talentwise. He can do it all, and his passing ability is said to be on elite levels. He put up two triple doubles in Summer League, which has never happened before. Yes I know it's only summer league, but talent is talent. It's a shame his father's antics have cast such a pall over his s career before game #1. Lonzo seems to have somehow managed to stay at least mostly humble and I will be watching very closely to see how his season goes. I expect Rookie of the year. However, since that has gotten so political, I don't think he will get it just to spite LaVar. Lakers are going to be very interesting, if not relevant, for the next few years. I don't think there's been a rookie with this much pressure on him since LeBron in 2003.
As for the card, I'd like to have it and all the other Instant cards, but at the price they run I can't afford them.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. None of them look very good, starting with the design and the wrinkled black curtain behind him, but his pose seems off as well. i think he's trying to jump the Panini sign at the bottom.
His dad comes across as sexist, racist and arrogant. He apparently didn't get the memo that the buzzword is "humble" these days, kind of like thanking God after a big game used to be. The dad is like a more obnoxious Flavor Flav. ESPN created him by giving him unwarranted airtime because they know our sick obsession with train wrecks.
Lonzo seeems to have his head on his shoulders in spite of his dad. I can't hate on the kid for his father's actions.
Lonzo

Homer hot take: Josh Jackson wins ROY... and Booker wins Finals MVP. I'll see myself out.

Spot on Kingsley!
I was only trying to give a heads up to those who were interested. His draft instant card is already at $40 on ebay.

Yes, we understand. But we like to chatter about anything. For that matter, I sold a Judge card for over $65 on Ebay before the all-star break. I wonder what it's going for now?

I find myself curious about that as well. Has his current strikout streak and struggles since the break impacted prices?
As for Ball, he is currently famous for the wrong reasons. May be an amazing player but I find myself rooting against him. I suppose that is partially him being a Laker but his father doesn't help. For his sake I hope he is good because I expect Lavar has made a target on his back from most other NBA players.

It's a fascinating study, from a talent perspective, we haven't seen a pass first talent at this level, with this type of basketball intelligence in a very long time...From a personality standpoint, I've yet to hear anything from HIM directly that would give me pause as a person... In fact he tanked on his dad pretty good on the Foot Locker commercial. (clearly he knows his dad has issues) All that being said, his Dad is a tool no doubt.

The story Lonzo wrote about his dad on Players Tribune gave me a lot of respect for the son, and changed my opinion of the dad a little too.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
