I've made an almost
definitive list of
my set needs.
Made a blog just to
put the list there.
Added all of the
sets I'm working on
to my collection
here.
Added all of my
needs to want list
here.
Am in the process
of adding dupes to
trade/sell list.
It's safe to assume
that I have at
least some dupes of
the sets I'm
working on to trade.
I know we don't
have a huge amount
of users here YET,
but geez, I'm
losing hope.
I found someone who
had a lot of 2014
Allen & Ginter on
their want list, so
I assumed they
actually wanted
them. Don't
misunderstand, I'm
not angry, but very
confused.
I went through
their 2014 A&G
wants and found 36
they needed.
Sent a message
telling them and
said all my set
needs were in my
want list and hoped
we could work
something out.
I'm told "I don't
have any A&G". I
assumed they meant
dupes to trade, so
I tried to convey
that it didn't have
to be same set
needs. I'll take
any of my needs.
I'm offered a card
I don't need for an
A&G card. It was an
offer in my favor,
but that's not what
I'm looking to do.
Again, I'm not
angry at this
collector, just
really, really
confused and
disappointed. I
though I was
actually going to
get some of my
needs and hopes
were dashed.
Are there any set
collectors out
there? I can assure
you that if it's in
my want list, I
need it and will
take the time to
assure we work
something out.
Thank You,
HF

I am a set collector but unfortunately I collect hockey and star wars. I would have been glad to help if I had what you needed. :( I haven't really utilized the trade section much myself, I mainly use the site as a way to organize and share my collection with others without having to haul 20 - 30 binders around. It's also nice to be a part of the community here and learn about the hobby from other collectors. It also doesn't help that I'm located in Canada. Shipping to and from for a card or 20 sometimes out worths the package and people don't usually like to shell out more than they should need to.
The card store I go to may have some things you are looking for, but I would probably suggest paypal instead of trade. I don't believe you'd have what I'm looking for. I can be wrong of course.
II'll look into it for you tomorrow and see if I can help in any way.

I understand. We
just collect
different things.
Let me know when
you start
collecting REAL
cards. ;)
I do have one
Hockey card. It's
the Brandon Saad
Panini Jersey card
from last year's
National. Dixxy wrote: I am a set collector but unfortunately I collect hockey and star wars. Well, I did print off your want list and I DID give it to my card guy today. He figures he won't have much issue filling most of it. I will let you know what he finds and let you know what he asks for it. He's usually quite fair.

Geez man. That's
great. It's an
awesome thing to
do, but the reason
I'm trying to trade
is I'm out of $ or
C$ in your case. I
really appreciate
you doing that.
It's more than I
was asking for and
I hope the cash
amount doesn't make
it a waste of your
LCS's time or
yours, or a waste
of your ink for
that matter. I do
expect that you
understood I was
kidding about
collecting REAL
cards. Heck, I've
got Skylanders
cards in my
collection. I
honestly like them
and the games, but
HONESTLY the
addiction to those
started from trying
to build the sets
for our son for
Christmas and then
those dirty dogs at
Topps went and
added 16 flip-
motion sportflics
type cards in the
Swap Force set
inserted at a rate
of 1:30. Grrrr.
Yeah so, feel free
to tease me back.

I wish we could
edit posts. I'm
sure none of you
have pilled up
singles laying
around.
Geez. "Piled"

Keep my FAKE hockey cards in the empty tylenol pill bottles that accumulate every time I give myself a headache crying over the fact I don't comprehend baseball!! All Pilled!! Gives them an awesome curve. Helps keep moisture away... or collect it if you don't stack them properly afterwards...
(Lol, yes I got the joke. )

My wife hates when
I even look at
other cards. Just
imagine if I had
pilled up singles
lying around. Kirk wrote: No, mine are all pilled In fact, my wife sometimes compains about the cards I have pilled up all over the place.
