I hid my trade list for this very reason the end of last year. Unfortunately I'm not ready to start again yet. Life gets overwhelming. I hope to be back soon but glad to see I'm not the only one this happens to.

....and What is the procedure to hide your trade list?

Bob, go to your profile. In the upper right corner is "Edit Profile" Select that and answer yes or no to the appropriate question. Select update at the bottom of the page. That should do it.

Bob, in your personal settings, there is an option for making your trade list visible to other users.  I switched mine to No for a while.

You'll need to do it for your Wantlist also!

I also suggest that anyone who takes some time off from trading for vacation or a long business trip say something to that order in their profile. When someone pulls up our profile for a possible trade they see "comments" and "quotes".  Either is a good place to simply add a comment like "catching up on other stuff and not open for trades until maybe mid-January or so; check back for updates".  

Could you possibly be referring to me, who stated I'm not trading, yet my signature says I am?!?!  So I'm a little indecisive!

Good point Kent. I've been changing my quote daily for about the last two weeks to show my progress in adding my collection.

I am FINALLY done adding my Haves/Traders! Most (if not all) Wants have been added too.

But, I am STILL NOT WANTING MORE TRADE OFFERS right now! I am working on clearing out the backlog of trade proposals first. I got 4 accepted over the weekend and am waiting for those to be complete before moving to the next 3-4 in the list. There are currently a dozen trades waiting on me (NOT counting the ones I accepted).

To keep things simple for me and to not try to trade things that have already been traded or receive cards that are already on the way, I will only deal with a few trades each week to get caught up. Those on the list pretty much know that and where they are on the list. I guess it was pretty smart of me to make a list putting everyone in order b/c the proposals keep getting updated and that changes the order of them on the site. My next 3 to deal with are: parsons0311, tsch67 and terrbear5951. These are BIG trades though. So it might take some extra time to get to the next batch of members.

Everyone who doesn't have a pending trade with me, please do look at my collection, but don't send me an offer yet! I will have to reject it until the list becomes more manageable.

Hi,  spaz got me thinking? TCDB avid traders should have a place to post TRADES in progress, TRADES offered, somewhere in their profile or elsewhere. This option would allow other potential traders a good view of the trader's present  "scope", Could include trader's name, trading order and a comment [like "only a small trade" etc.]. I, myself feel bad when I can't trade with someone or know an offer would be way down the list.

So unless we have this feature and I don't know about it, maybe ADMIN might think about it.

I believe it would  help the trades move along, eliminate impatient or aggravated members from withdrawing their offers etc.

Any thoughts, suggestions???
