Set: O-Pee-Chee (Rate)

Card: #76 Alfredo Griffin

“ Great 80s design. I could not think of anything I could improve on this design. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ The 1984 Blue Jays lineup was perhaps the tastiest in AL East history, with Alfredo Griffin at short, Rice Mulliniks at third, Damango Garcia at second, and George "Taco" Bell in the outfield. ” -UNC_Samurai

“ Who bleached the back of his uniform? ” -addysdaddy

“ Excellent back on the card. Could use a crisper version though, anyone have one? ” -NJDevils

“ This is my scan. O Pee Chee were never really high quality cards. Basically the same set as the Topps, but often had more Blue Jays and Expos thrown in. ” -Mike67

“ Damn I wish the Jays could compete again. ” -DanD

Especially the OPCs! The card stock used for OPC was a little more brittle, and couple that with the lack of sharp blades for cutting the cards, you had plenty of ragged edges on brittle paper = CHIP CITY. But when you find a good looking, well-centered, clean cut OPC card, they are real nice!
