Year: 1976

Set: SSPC (Rate)

Card: #285 Mario Guerrero

“ He almost looks like Keith Hernandez. ” -addysdaddy

“ Back in the day when these cards came out I HATED them (like I hate modern super short printed cards and relic cards and chrome cards you can't read because of all the shinny glossy stuff they are made out of) but sometime in the late 80s or early 90s when I wasn't really into current stuff I started liking them again, and now with the super proliferation of chrome, and multiple uncountable color and design variations I prefer the simple cards like this. Sure they don't show individual stats by year they give a career summary because they had a lot of retired players and long ago HOFers in the sets. ” -captkirk42

“ Talk about a close-up... Isn't this the set that Keith Olbermann wrote the bios on the back for? ” -switzr1

“ Is that a tiny Cardinals logo sticker on his cap logo? Whatever it is, it shouldn't be there. ” -jlaz10

“ How were these cards released? Special promotions or packs? ” -carthage44

carthage44, the set was released by mail-order only.

jlaz10, that little thing on his cap (I suspect a pin) is also visible on his 1976 Topps card.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
