Year: 1997-98

Set: Metal Universe Championship - All Millenium (Rate)

Card: #20AM Tim Duncan

“ I thought he was being tortured... ” -volbox

“ Still can't believe he retired. Although I almost always rooted against the Spurs in the finals, he was always in my top 10 favorite players in the NBA. While I consider myself a big fan of the Metal brand, the 1997-98 Championship set is not my favorite, in fact, I think it is my least favorite of 7 issues of the brand. Really a toss up of this and 1998-99. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ He was never flashy just a machine. It was great watching him play throughout the years. ” -carthage44

“ Wow. Wow. I think I have a new "Ugliest Card of the Millenium". Not one single detail on this card is likeable. And why is it called All-Millenium? Shouldn't that mean the best players since the year 1001? Where's Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Byrd, Pete Maravich, Nate Archibald, Julius Irving, etc? It's just a bunch of current players. ” -C2Cigars

“ I think there was a guy who played in 1128 AD in Mongolia who should have been on the "All-Millenium" team, I can't remember his name but did get his autograph at a card show. ” -NJDevils

“ Not a fan of the Metal sets. Cant read a dang thing in this scan. Looks like player name is Ali Millerson or something. OH it says "All-Millenum". I"m guessing that black bar above that is the guys name? Upper Right corner is the Metal logo I recognize that but can't for the life of me read in in the scan. Back interesting design but not practical for a trading card. ” -captkirk42

My typical reaction when I see a sport I don't collect (unless it's REALLY cool and I have to say how neat it is) in the RCOTD is to just ignore it. So, when this came up to be written about, I ignored it. Then I read the comment today about the back. And I looked. 1995 Fleer baseball was a terrible set. However, I'm inclined to say that this has dethromed 1995 Fleer baseball for the worst overall card design. Wow is this bad.

I may be the only person on here who actually likes this card.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
