Set: Metal Universe Championship - All Millenium (Rate)

While I consider myself a big fan of the Metal brand, the 1997-98 Championship set is not my favorite, in fact, I think it is my least favorite of 7 issues of the brand. Shouldn't that mean the best players since the year 1001? Where's Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Byrd, Pete Maravich, Nate Archibald, Julius Irving, etc? It's just a bunch of current players. ” -C2Cigars

“ Not a fan of the Metal sets. Cant read a dang thing in this scan. Looks like player name is Ali Millerson or something. OH it says "All-Millenum". I"m guessing that black bar above that is the guys name? Upper Right corner is the Metal logo I recognize that but can't for the life of me read in in the scan. Back interesting design but not practical for a trading card. ” -captkirk42

My typical reaction when I see a sport I don't collect (unless it's REALLY cool and I have to say how neat it is) in the RCOTD is to just ignore it. So, when this came up to be written about, I ignored it. Then I read the comment today about the back. And I looked. 1995 Fleer baseball was a terrible set. However, I'm inclined to say that this has dethromed 1995 Fleer baseball for the worst overall card design. Wow is this bad.
