Year: 1980

Set: TCMA All Time New York Yankees Set B (Rate)

Card: #002 Bill Dickey

“ Somehow I kind of like it and dislike it, all at the same time. I definitely don't care for the back. Front looks like a T-205 a little bit. I'm not sure I have ever seen one of these cards before. ” -switzr1

“ Neat card, but could really have used some info on the back...like, when was he with the team? I really enjoy history based sets. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ No frills, but a decent card. ” -dilemma19

“ I'd take Thurman Munson over Dickey for New York Yankees greats at the catcher position. ” -carthage44

“ I like some of the "All Time" team cards, but this one is a bit too blah for me. ” -captkirk42

Carthage, the catcher that you can make an argument fo would probably be Yogi. Munson is #3 in my book.

Am I blind or what? Geez...

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.

Yogi, Dickey then Munson.       This card looks more like a stamp.   Pretty bland

I got a set of these whwn I was a kid, only the cards are black instead of the red. They came in a minie team set binder book with 5 pages, 4 cards per page and came with a team pin on button and info about the team stadium on the inside. I also got the Tigers set as well.

We all agree on top 3. How about #4. Posada?

I'll take Honey Barnes.  Never made an out.  Walked in his only career plate appearance in 1926.  Hard to do any better than that.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff.  Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
