My mom never bought me any cards so I was only able to create a collection of cards that my friends had given me. For Christmas 1999, I got my mom to by me a box of Pokemon cards so I could be able to show them off and play with my friends. Much to my dismay on the morning of 12/25/1999, I opened pack after pack of Topps Pokemon cards, not the real deal Pokemon Trading Card Game. What a bait and switch by Topps to fool mothers into buying this crap! lol Still never ended up getting any packs or boxes of Pokemon cards after that.
