Year: 1969

Set: Topps Mod Squad (Rate)

Card: #39 At the Zoo!

“ Wow. Couldn't guess it's card from 1969 by the look. Looks like 80s card. Fashionably seasoned card. ” -Duke

“ This is a TV show I know nothing about, the first time I saw anything about it was the Topps 75th Anniversary set. Good scan. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Ta ta ta ta ta taaa, ta ta ta ta taaa ....oh, sorry. Wrong series. My first crush, though. ” -Sportzcommish

“ Groovy !! ” -uncaian

“ I'm showing my age here as I didn't know this was a TV show. I only knew about the movie in the late 90's. ” -carthage44

“ Two non-sport ROCTD in a row!!! It is always nice to see some randomness. Overall not a bad design on the front, I feel like a few sport sets could benefit from something like this. Keep it simple and it ends up nice. ” -muskie027

“ Yes Vintage Non-Sport. I have a handful (4-6 maybe) Mod Squad cards. Eventually I'd like the full set, but these cards are hard to find cheap. Full sets go for way too much, even the empty wrappers can fetch very shiny pretty pennie$. ” -captkirk42

“ This is kinda cool. Show was before my time and never really ever remember seeing it in syndication. The back looks like the imagery used behind Pink Floyd while playing Astronomy Domine. ” -rmpaq5

“ Groovy! ” -CluelessJoe

“ Wow, didn't know this set existed, but would love to own it! I'm an old guy, but it was reruns of this show when I was growing up! ” -bkklaos

This card has open possibilities for lame interpretations: "Bird is in a cage, she is in a golden cage"

I'm always interested to see what sorts of subjects make it onto cards, and what people collect. Though I stick to "mainstream" stuff like MLB, I understand there are collectors for pretty much anything, including a woman looking at a cage at the zoo. :-)

Peggy Lipton, playing Julie Barnes.  Once married to Quincy Jones, and the mother of Rashida Jones of "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" fame...  She was 'it' at the end of the 60s decade!

Did not know they made a set for this series.   Yes, Peggy Lipton was a good reason for watching the show.  Can't remember one show or plot but I do remember her
