I have several trade proposals going right now. (One of my New Years resolutions was at least one trade per month.) Well, I finally read the FAQ for trading and discovered the Feedback feature. I want to apologize to anyone who traded with me in the past. Especially those individuals who left positive feedback for me. I hadn't paid any attention to feedback and never left any until today. To all past trading partners: You all deserve a Positive rating and my thanks for trading with me. Everyone has been great. I apologize for not leaving feedback. It was an omission which will be corrected on future transactions.

You can always go to completed transactions and leave feedback for those even if awhile ago. It would still be valuable info for folks that have not traded with that person before
I try to leave feedback when I am putting away the cards I receive in a trade...which can be a different day than I mark the trade as received.

Good idea. I had considered that but thought it might be weird. You make a good point. I will do that. Thanks for the suggestion Mark.

How does condition get factored into your trade proposals?

What? No one mentioned condition in this thread. If you need to talk about it, that is what PM's are for on this site. PM your "trader" to talk about the condition of individual cards. That can also be addressed in the Message part of trade offers/proposals. I go with a person by person mindset. Some people want any card of their team and don't care about condition, especially when it comes to vintage cards. When it comes to mid-80's, I make sure to let a potential trader know if mine is less than perfect. You just need to talk to the trader to make sure they will be happy with the card you can send them.

Personally I won’t trade cards that are less than an acceptable condition which in general is EX-NRMT depending how you grade a card. If the cards are more vintage I will trade those in lesser condtions and note that in the card details which shows up on the trade offers. I also make sure the other person is aware of the condition notes. Unfortunately I’ve traded a lot of really nice cards for junk junk era cards which I needed and only kept for filler.

I have a standing policy that states, if you are not completely satisfied with the condition of the cards, I will swap them back, so we will each only be out the postage. This applies primarily to vintage cards, as most of everything since about 1977 is mint or near mint. I also let prospective traders know the condition of any cards they are asking for, if there are any flaws on them.

The "Rules" I trade by:
- All cards are mint (nr-mt at worst)
- Anything not nr-mt is mentioned before the trade is agreed to
- If it's a bulk trade, anything not nr-mt is considered a throw-in
This is what works for me. I prefer to do things this way. It's fairly simple.

speaking of vintage wantlist conditions, I do wish that folks would post their condition requirements on their profile so I do not have to ask when starting a trade discussion.
many of my vintage extras are in lower conditions.

I list the condition of any card not Nr-Mt, so my trade partner knows what they are trading for. I may upload scans of them when I get around to it.
