Did Billy, or another COMC user, once mention that COMC has another Free Shipping day besides Black Friday?
(By the way, the Hitachi video ad finally went away so I can easily access the forums from my phone again. Sorry, guys!)

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Sometimes they do a "Spring Sale". Don't remember the last time they did that.

Usually they have a big spring sale like others said, but last year they didn't offer free shipping. It was the first time they didn't. It was the main reason I chose to not ship any cards until I had over 100 to ship. If you wait until you have over 100 cards ready to ship, you get a $5 credit. It would have made up for the shipping, but luckily for me they had the free shipping as part of their Black Friday sale, so it worked out better. On a couple occasions they've also had sales leading up to The National, but they haven't had them the last couple years. I can't remember if those were free shipping events though.

Thanks guys. Are the challenges new? I never noticed those before. Basically, transcribe card numbers from scans for store credit.

They started after the rift between them and Beckett. Its how I get most of my money on there, but its been a lot tougher to find times to actually get in more recently.

I have had a couple of days where I just kept doing challenges and one day made $5 in credit, is was pretty awesome. As for free shipping I always wait until the Black Friday sale when I have a bunch of cards, kind of a Christmas present to myself.

They did have free shipping during spring cleaning last year but it was convoluted. You had to either deposit a certain amount into your account or ship a specific number of cards...I don't remember which, pretty sure they did both at one time, but since I qualified for both already I didn't pay that much attention. The good thing was that you didn't have to ship right then so I was able to ship my Spring Cleaning order in August...for free.
It was so convoluted that they went back to straight up free shipping with black Friday. Even though the shipping is cheap I usually go for free shipping because it allows me to get more cards.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I signed up for COMC a couple of years ago, but I still have not used it. As I continue to see info pile up on this site about that site, it keeps telling me to not bother with COMC. Nothing seems to be worth my time there. I don't care what cards they have there, if they need to be held until the shipping cost hits the right amount, AND their ebay prices are usually ridiculous. I have yet to see a single reason to actually use COMC for purchasing cards. The fact that they flood ebay with links for cards was a breaking point to me. That kept me from even attempting to look up cards that COMC might have that I still want. The feud with Beckett was another distraction that kept me from checking out COMC when I fist signed up for the site. I don't trust Beckett Marketplace sellers and therefore I certainly don't trust COMC b/c they got kicked out of that.

it all depends on what you're looking for too.. as for flooding ebay.. you know that you can set your ebay search to "exclude" certain sellers by their name.. so, you can exclude "comc_consignment" and they won't appear in your search thread
