Hi all,
I've been unable to find a release date for the 2018 Topps Archives set. Is Topps discontinuing this line? I'll be disappointed if so -- there was a certain thrill in getting a pack that had some Hall of Famers in addition to current stars and rookies, all in nostalgic (for me) designs of the past.

I should hope not. That's always my favorite baseball set of the year.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I am definitely worried. There's nothing listed here and this seems to be a relatively complete list of baseball release dates for 2018.

baseballcardpedia lists nothing either.

I read where one dealer said it was June 2018. But he could be wrong and simply basing it on last year.

Maybe, but the site I looked has releases listed in July and even a TBA. Is there any confirmation anywhere that indicates that the set will or won't be released this year?

But that says they haven't received any information from Topps, so I think they are just assuming it will be released.

Personally, I'd be fine with Topps dropping Archives. I'd rather them drop A&G or Gypsy Queen instead, but either way, I'd be happy for them to drop something here. These are all basically the same sets with different designs and names. They are still all just the same product with a different design. If anything, I would prefer that they drop Heritage and keep Archives though.
