same with my Target, though not even sure if they ever stocked any. Bright note was they had restocked Series 1 after being sold out the last several weeks. so i bought another blaster worth to add to my trade bait. look for those on my fs/ft list later today.

Got a blaster at a Sacramento Target yesterday...it was the last one. They also had quite a few hanger boxes.

Only 1 target in my area has been stocked (and they are wiped out now). I bought 3 blasters and 1 hanger pack. I destroyed the odds. Second pack of my first blaster, I pulled a Seattle Pilots autograph (1 in 3455) and also pulled a Cody Bellinger Mini /100 (1 in 262), Second pack of my 2nd blaster, I pulled a Cole Hamels Gold Patch Relic (1 in 524), a Kershaw Refractor (1 in 61) and to top it off - it was a hot box - 1 purple refractor in every pack. Then, again, 2nd pack of my 3rd blaster, I pulled a Magenta Back parallel (supposedly limited to 10) of Rich Hill (1 in 692 packs) and a chrome of somebody I don't recall (1 in 35 packs). Then to close it out, in the Hanger pack, I pulled an Aaron Judge Blue Letter Variation (no odds but apparently pretty rare) - since I'm a certified Yankee hater, I just sold it on ebay for $170. Now off to find more Heritage where I'm sure my luck will run out.

Billy, the Olympic set was hobby only. Infuriating!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I'd like to know how retail stores go about stocking these items. I have 4 different Targets that are close to me, but really only one of them has a large selection of cards. Even then, they don't often restock when they sell out. Luckily for me that is the Target that we mainly go to.
As far as Walmart, I also have 4 close to me but I only like to go to the one by my work. The other three are kind of disgusting. The one accross from my work is really clean for some reason. However, they still rarely ever have cards in stock. I managed to snag one pack of Topps Gallery when they came out.
Within the past year or so though, an awesome card shop opened down the street from me. Very lucky for me because I live in the north part of town and most of the card shops are all way south or west of me. I do my best to buy all my cards from that shop and give him my business because I would hate to see the shop close down.

After reading some of your comments about the newly released 2018 Topps Heritage baseball cards, I got the itch to go purchase some retail. I went to 2 Walmart's and a Target to try and get some of these. At both Walmart's, an employee was just stocking the shelves with the 2018 Topps Heritage boxes. No, I did not clean them out of the new boxes as I left a few for other collector's. I did purchase 6 blaster boxes, 5 hanger boxes and a 20 card value pack.
As for Target, they either were sold out already or they hadn't got them on the shelves yet.
If I get anything cool I will let you guys know (No one cares, I know but it will be exciting if I pull something).
*Note* Well just opened all the retail boxes of 2018 Topps Heritage and it was fun going through the cards but nothing special. Throughout all of the 600+ cards I got one memorabilia card (jersey of Keuchel) and two serial numbered cards. So after spending over $200 for these cards, it just didn't add up. Fun while it lasted but overall a little disappointed. If anyone wants these cards for a small price, please PM me and they are yours.

In another post I commented about VENDORS are to stock the cards not Walmart or Target associates. That they are what is called PAY PER SCAN meaning the stores don't pay for cards until someone buys them. If stolen the store doesn't get the lost, the vendor does.
What I forgot to mention was, The cards come in by Fed-Ex or UPS during the week, and sometimes they get placed in a corner, or steel rack in backroom, and if vendor rep comes they can't find them or they buried with stores over stock blocking access to them or they can't get to them because trucks are being off loaded

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

I went in a Target yesterday and they had all kinds of boxes for Topps Heritage, but had nothing for UD Hockey 2 which is what I was looking for. So I bought a blaster box of Donruss Racing and got a number of dups in the same box. That is one of my pet peeves about the hobby. If I buy a wax box or something that is going to have 100s of cards in it, I expect to get some dups. But not when I am buying a blaster box that only has 60 cards in it.
