Is it me, or is Barry Bonds only showing up on Autoraph cards? He never seems to be on an insert or VAR? Is it personal, or contractual I wonder? Drama and PEDs aside, he was stone cold at the plate, over 3000 walks and 762 dongs. Just would like to see him on more accessible cardboard. My 2 cents.

Good question.  I guess I never thought about it, but you are right.  I wouldn't mind pulling a card of him from time to time.

It's a licesning thing. Late in his career he left the players union licensing deals. For example, 2K (a video game maker) couldn't put him in their yearly release and simply replaced Bonds in the game with a generic player with his attributes.

It's the same thing with cards. Topps probably feels it isn't worth it to get him for a few inserts, but is worth it for the Autographs.
