Not a good day to be a fan of UVA.

Yeah Dan, I never really hear you talk about basketball, so the contest made me think you were a big fan and I just didn't know it.  Your comment tells me otherwise.

Also, with the last 3 games of the night currently airing, my picks are losing all three.

UVA destroyed my bracket! I had them all the way to the Championship Game. At least I didn't pick them to win it! Still not doing bad for the 1st Rd. though. Clemson just won and Florida State is leading. If FL ST wins the game, my record is 23-9 for the 1st round. The only teams I had getting to the 3rd Rd. that didn't make it out of the 1st Rd. are UVA and Arizona who would have met each other in that round anyway. That South bracket has been my worst by far.

Virginia was my champion. I will now enjoy watching from the sidelines.

Apparently the best defense DOESN'T win championships! They just couldn't stop the 3-pointer tonight!!! The 3's killed them and they never found a fix for that. I am still shocked that they got SMOKED on the court! UVA has screwed my bracket for the 2nd straight year. I had them in the Final 4 last year too, but they didn't get there. They were the only ACC team to lose today and I wasn't even sure Syracuse would be playing today when I filled out my bracket. I won't be picking UVA next year if they make the big Tourney!

I was hoping the biggest upset of the first 2 rounds would be the one I picked for Sunday, but now I just hope for it to be the 2nd biggest upset of this tournament. I picked a #1 to lose in Round #2 and the rest to make it to the Elite 8. I had UVA and Nova in the Final 4. I have #9 Florida State knocking off #1 Xavier in the 2nd Round. The Seminoles are one of the tallest teams in the country and that just wears teams out (as was obvious in their win over Missouri) and I think they can do the same to Xavier.

The #4 vs. #13 matchups were insane this year. Arizona got smoked by 21 and Wichita State got beat by 6 points. The other two #4's won by 4 points each. I was really proud of UNC-Greensboro and the game they played against Gonzaga. They took it to them and could have won that game at the end. UNCG is the closest school to me that was in the tournament and my Aunt works there. So I had to root for them to do well! I was initially just happy that they got better than a 15th seeding. This was only their 3rd time getting to the NCAA Tourney and their best seed so far. I think they'll be back in 2019. There are only 2 NC teams left (out of 6), but they are both #2 seeds and ACC teams. GO DUKE!!!

Had to get to bed early last night......then woke up and thought I was still asleep dreaming.  WOW, not only a 16 seed win but like switzr said.....by 20!!!! AND Virginia was the #1 out of the #1's!!!!  It was bound to happen!!!  1-135 now for 16's.  Maybe this paves the way for my championship pick Cinncinnatii

I witnessed history last night with UMBC destroying UVA. It may have blown up my bracket but I don't care. I was just really cool to finally see a 16 seed beat a 1 seed!

Too bad it wasn't Kansas..............
