This one is tearing me apart on a few levels........I like the design.....I dont like another set to chase....For the price you might as well buy all 3 cards........Where / when does it end ? Next month, next year ? 5 years from now ?.......No checklist ? The price is a little steep for common players.........ALOT to ponder with this one.........

Buy the Judge, so you can say you got the FIRST card, then pick and choose a few throughout the year, thats my plan. The chase is exhausting sometimes! good grief.

I think Mr. Horse from Ren & Stimpy sums it up for me:

It’s a no for me. I’ve never liked the ultra high prices on the online cards and $15 for 3 cards is ridiculous.

Yep , I will pass . Why redo the '53 design again ? Can they not come up with something new and original for a design . Maybe something that looks classic but hasn't ever been used before .

I thought exactly what ShoTime said. The difference here being, I guess it will always be the 1953 design?? They're even doing it with wrapper cards too.
I'll probably get this one, and then if Molina or Wainwright show up I might jump.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Not sure I "get it" and I know I won't get it. I am not sure what they are going for. If a player changes teams, they may get a new card? The lifetime stats are for that point in time? Does this go on in perpetuity? What if Aaron Judge plays 20 years for the Yanks, he doesn't get a card with lifetime stats? Why is the point in time now? What makes this living, the fact that they never stop making cards at $15 for 3 or $10 for one? What is the concept or objective of the set? Maybe it is in the article and I missed it, but if I don't get it, I can't see myself wanting it. Why not just release the '53 set as a Topps Heritage 2019 set? I am lost.

I think the "Living Set" name dates back to Lud Denny at Pro Set, if I remember right. This wasn't at all how he went about it though. I like the concept, a lot, but a base set in packs should have been the start of it. Then add cards to the end of it when ever a few trades or call-ups occur, but not at these prices. Maybe once a month to make it more practical.
The Hall of Fame post cards in another currently active thread perfectly fit the definition of a "Living Set."
