And there are products out there where it is one card per pack or even one per box. So they are issued in packaging individually.

There are valid arguments for both sides of this.

I have a scanner that doesn't handle these well so I have no horse in the race. However, I side with the point that the card is focal point of the "collectible". Not the slab. You want to put a picture of the card in the slab in the packaging section, that would be ag reat place for it. (And you'll get a point for each image submitted, too!) If your scanner can scan the card well enough through the layers of plastic, great - crop out the plastic and submit the image of the card for in thechecklist. Image of the slab in packaging.

2000 Donruss Preferred Graded Series for Football are all Graded @ 4 different levels, 8, 8.5, 9 & 9.5. In this particular case I would say that the slab should be scanned. The slab would or could be considered as a serial number. Just my POV. ------------------------------- Collecting Green Bay Packers cards

I have some cards that are graded and one is a 1/1 should I try to scan the whole case or just the card Card in refernece is 2011 Topps Triple Threads White Whale 1/1 Sandy Koufax, Clayton Kershaw & Aroldis Chapman 3x game used/auto

If it was graded after you acquired the card/cards, definitely don't add the case! Also, if you bought it graded but that is not the way the manufacturer released it, no case should be in the scan.

In this thread, we are mostly talking about cards that were encased by the maunfacturer before being released to the public.
