A general question for the experienced checklisters on this site. I know vrooomed loves Bowman so maybe he can answer. When working on my wantlist I recently noticed something. In the 2010 Bowman Chrome – Prospects insert set (http://www.tradingcarddb.com/Subsets.cfm/sid/70079/2010-Bowman-Chrome---Prospects) there is a Base and “a” version card (i.e. 111 and 111a). The Base is a regular cards and the “a” version is an AU version. Not a biggie at first until you look at the 2011 version of the same set. For that set there are 2 insert sets that cover the same thing (http://www.tradingcarddb.com/Subsets.cfm/sid/59707/2011-Bowman-Chrome---Prospects) and
(http://www.tradingcarddb.com/Subsets.cfm/sid/59696/2011-Bowman-Chrome---Prospect-Autographs). Here the Base version has its own listing and the AU’s (the “a” version in 2010) has its own listing and neither has a sub-number.
Question is, which is right? I tend to believe the 2011 version is correct and that it should be two separate listings. If that is the consensus can someone go in a break apart the 2010 version? It does not look like earlier Bowman set where the AUs were a continuation of the base set.
Thank you.
