COLLECTOR and ORGANIZING IDEA: Each box has small pics on the storage boxes to identify what's in the boxes without opening.

I've done the same with several of my card albums. For player-specific albums that have a sleeve on the edge, I printed an edge cover with a sample card (or 3) along with the name(s). It made it quicker to pick up the album I want even in low light. For albums with several people in it, I just did one card of each person and no names.

I’m pretty good with excel and databases but I have no idea how to print a couple of these binder inserts on one piece of paper. Is there a certain program that you use that lets you copy a few of these to one sheet for printing?

You can copy and paste them into excel if you have them as a .jpg. Copy 4 into a sheet and you can resize them easily to fit to the right size

I used avery.com for most of mine. Now they have a program you can download to do it straight from your PC. The max # of cards I could fit on a binder insert for the edge is 7 cards without them being distorted. Looks really good like that too.

Avery now has spines available for binders in mulitple sizes, here's an example:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006HVF92/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
I haven't used the Avery spines yet, I create mine in Word using the column option. The size of the binder determines how many columns I use. 1st line is the year, 2nd is manufacturer, 3rd (and possibly 4th) is the product (if it is not the flagship product). Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to add an example. Is there a way to paste a Word doc into Forum?

Or, you can create a custom-sized document in Word that matches the size of the spine you're trying to make, and then you can copy/paste/type whatever and see exactly what can fit and what can't.

Oh, and then after the title of the set, I do add a sample photo of a card as well. And no need to scan the card, you can just pull it from TCDB and resize it as needed.
