Ugh, I wonder how pervasive this is on the site. I don't have a huge collection by most standards, so I probably don't come across as many as others. I was looking at a card I have in the 2017-18 Donruss Basketball set in the Rookie Kings Press Proof insert. All of the images for the cards are pulled off COMC. The same thing was done for other sets in that release as well. Calling people out isn't my thing nor does it give me joy, but the member who uploaded these images has other improper images uploaded as well.
What can be done to prevent this? I am not one to complain about an image that is a tiny bit crooked or not cropped all the way, but images that have a clear water mark or don't even fill up the entire space where the card should go are just frustrating.
I reported an innacuracy about the card that I have that has a COMC image uploaded for it, but realized right after that a bunch of images uploaded by the member need to be removed. .
Edit: Also a little annoyed that members posting these images have awards listed on their profile page and of course enough points for the final permission level.

When I joined a different card site, I immediately went to comc for my player and uploaded hundreds of cards and really thought I was doing a service. They weren't as blatant as TCDB is about the guidelines so I found out a few months later that 99% of my images were useless to them. It was a tough lesson to learn but now I'm a card scanning perfectionist always looking for a more accurate way to get a card represented.

If you have the card in hand, you can always replace the scan, if your permission level is high enough. You won't get credit or points for it, but it does make the site better for everyone.

Image Guidelines:
7. Images should be without any signatures, writing, or watermarks (unless released that way by the manufacturer).

I do have the card, but right now I don't often have time to sit down at my computer and scan cards. I don't think I have been able to upload a scan since the end of Janauary. I of course plan on getting to my remaining cards that need to be scanned eventually, but just haven't really had time to do it recently. What bothers me is that because someone has uploaded the image, it doesn't show up on my reports anymore.
The only reason I found it was just cruising through some of my cards on the site this morning. So who knows how many others I have in my collection that are like that until I happen to come across it.

All of those images have to be removed. If they have a watermark, it makes them the property of whoever's watermark it is.
Probably the best thing is to have Admin delete all of the scans this particular individual has uploaded.

Hopefully, Admin will message the member who did this and remind them that what they did was a clear violation of the site's rules.
Additionally, please submit an inaccuracy report on the whole set, as all the images there so far need to be pulled.
I'll investigate this user a little further back and see if there are any other uploads that need to be reported.

Good news, it looks like this member just started thinking that this was acceptable within the last couple days.

Holy Crap! That is time and effort ADMIN is going to have to do for no good reason at all. Only the last couple of days is still tons of cards. And who knows, it may have been done in the past also and we will have to hunt and peck them out. Perhaps just ditiching all that guys scans in one swoop might be best.

That might be overkill. It was quite a few, but it was only from the past 3 days. I spot checked older ones, and they were all good.
