Hi again. In my efforts to further understand the site, I have come across the 'Gallery' section. To me, this look the same as displaying a set of cards, I see similar site options, just that the front and backs are listed a bit nicer wih no clutter around them. So what exactly is a Gallery then, because so far to my eyes it is not vastly different from just looking at a whole set of something.

OK, but by that thought, the very first 'New Gallery' listed on the home page, 2017-2018 Panini Instant NBA Basketball does not have a sample image available, and I looked through it and saw several cards where no image was available. So if I understand your explanation, wouldn't that mean this fails to be a Gallery?

Some sets only Admin can put a sample image on...the Instant/Topps Now cards are a little different because they were not all issued as one set, but one at a time. When a new card is added it messes with the system, if somebody has put a number of cards in the set in, because it is automated and thinks they are all there when they aren't. It's a problem that didn't exist before these sets started being issued 2 years ago.

I didn't see any cards missing images.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

OK, so I found an example of a flaw in the system?
So then, back to your explanation, tell me if I have this correct. There are sets of cards on the site, and people add images to them. Once the last missing image is added to the site, that fully imaged set (and all associated insert sets) now becomes a Gallery, and would then appear as a New Gallery on the home page?
Is there any significance to being the one who adds the last image and completes the image set, thus creating the Gallery?
Another way to approach that question, A Gallery is not something a member creates for others to see and it is attached to them as their creation, a Gallery is simply something the site denotes once someone (and it doesn't matter who) completes it.
I'm curious because I have a set of cards that had no images, and I have all of the base set, which I am in the process of uploading. I do not have the complete insert set though. But if I did, that would be considered a Gallery because all images were present. I could think of myself as creating that Gallery, because I happened to have been the one who uploaded the whole thing, but it is really the site that creates the Gallery, once all pics are uploaded.

(This was meant as a quoted reply to C2Cigars)
In the example I mentioned, I followed through to the insert sets, and the Mountain Dew Rising Stars Team US Black says Sample Card Not Available, and when you look at that set, all cards but one say Add Card, and if you click on one, it says the Front and Back need the image added.
Would this not mean the set is incomplete of images, and thus not a Gallery? Again, I'm going off of Billy's explanation, my understanding of it.

Each insert or parallel gets it's own gallery- you can have galleries for the base set and none of the inserts, or you can have the gallery for some or all of the inserts without there being one for the base set.
Uploading all of the cards in any specific set gets I think a bonus point but I don't know for sure. It's more of a pride in a job well done sort of thing to be honest.

OK I think I have it now. I have to stop thinking of a set as the whole thing, cards and stickers and holograms (etc.) and all, and see the individual components. The base set is one set. When that is full, that becomes a Gallery. When an insert set becomes complete, that will become a Gallery. But an insert set does not have to be complete for a base set to become a Gallery.
And I don't understand the points thing, what it's for, what earns what. I was just thinking it would be neat to be the one who uploaded an entire set that was missing, a personal pride and joy thing.
Overlooking the site, I see adding images, creating Card of the Day posts, and wondered what a Gallery was, if that was something someone did for others to enjoy. I'm not a post padder type who's looking for status
I have actually added images that completed insert sets, thinking that I wanted to complete that set (because I had the missing image) so that others could enjoy seeing the whole thing. I'll have to look back now, but I guess in that situation I was already creating Galleries. Again, not feeling, "Look at me, I'm special," but more of a, "That feels good to share what I have and help others see the whole thing now."
Thanks for the replies.
