1st picked up a binder for 2 bucks first part of the week that hand a bunch of Babe Ruth, Mantle and Ichiro cards....looks like someones PC collection that was tossed...
2nd yesterday picked up a binder with the back half of 1984 Fleer U-55 through U-132 Update, missing 2 cards at Goodwill for 3 bucks.......dont you hate when "fate" drops another impossible set in your lap... now im on the hunt for U-1 through U-54 , and U-93,102 and 103 .
Im really itching to complete the 84, but with the price of at least 4 of them i know its gonna be impossible for me..

Which Goodwill was that at? The one I frequent in my Houston suburb (Katy) never has had any cards. I've picked up some decorative-type items there, but never cards.

And those are wonderful deals! (Hope the sarcasm was noted.)

I tend to frequent 2 or 3 in the Katy/Cypress area and haven't seen any cards either. My kids have lucked out with the stuff they like to collect, i.e. my middle daughter has found two American Girl dolls at the one in Katy that we frequent.

Up North here, we have Goodwill, Value Village an Salvation Army stores. I have never done the Goodwills as always forget but I did just come home with $12 worth of finds last weekend. Some for me and the rest .... well I divided them up. =)

Goodwill around me do not normally have cards but when they do. They are $20.00 for a binder full of commons.

Yeah, prices are awful, but they also have a loose definition of what vintage is, too, as most of the auctions are '90s and beyond. Plus, on the auctions you get stuck with shipping and that gets expensive.

Never bought cards from Goodwill, but did just win an auction for a signed Richmond Renegades minor leage hockey jersey that somehow made its way to a Goodwill in Minnesota. Think it would have gone for more on ebay though.
