Here's an interesting kicker. One color, two colors, Number, logo, there are different values for these types. If you have a swatch that's just pure white, it is worth less than the swatch with the identifiable team logo piece. also finding a swatch with lets say three or more colors in it significantly increases the value of the card. There are collectors that find these types of variations quite important. I agree, to clutter up sets with cards 1/500 to 500/500 would be Absolutely asinine. But could there be an option within the card itself to set up a place to scan cards with the number, swatch, color differences?
This site really does well to help cater to the individual collector. It certainly would sait my curiosity how many people actually have Card A with a print run of 25 and Card B with a print run of 50. It also gives an opportunity for people with multiple variations like this a chance to show off their copy too. (It also provides an evidence system for those who are concerened about fakes that could be circulating.)
Clutter it? no. I agree with no. Maybe an option of a button or something that takes you to a page dedicated to this card and variations?
(I cencerely doubt that we shall ever have every collector on this site who has every variation. But what a thought that is!!!)
The difference between Hoarding and Collecting is Structure.
