My Canon MG6820 has been excellent for me for over 2 years now. The scanning program has a Custom Scan option. I originally had it set to 4" by 4" to allow for vertical and horizontal cards. I just needed to crop out blank areas. Then I noticed a scratch on the glass that shows up on all foil or high-gloss cards. So I expanded the Custom Scan area to 7" by 4". Now I can scan those cards by centering the top of the card on the 4" mark of the scanner and it misses the scratch in the glass. I don't change any other settings for single cards and it works great. I don't like the Automatic Setting for any scanners b/c they can get fooled by the card coatings that are used these days and then the cards get cropped too much or come out looking way different from the actual card. I can't remember the DPI I have set right now but it's 200 or 300. It keeps the file-size small enough to upload to any site without diminishing the quality of the scan.
NO PWE's EVER!!! PLZ PM me 1st before sending any offer. ONLY selling cards as of March 2024. No trades or purchases right now.
