Just saying hello and happy turkey festival. If anyone has missed me, I've had a few more health problems, actually problems with my medication. I just about had that problem straightened out and then my Mother found out she had cancer again. She died yesteday. My Mom was a great one and am happy we didn't let her waste away in a hospital or anything like that. It really helped me cope to have her home.
I'll eventually be back to get some trades done. I know I don't actually owe anyone any cards, but had a few deals agreed on that I will try to complete if those involved still need the cards.
During this crappy time, a few family members made sure I had the drugs that really make me feel good...
those drugs are cards of course and have a completed 2014 Topps Update set along with a 2014 Topps Heritage Minors and Panini Draft set to work on. It's really awesome when you have some family members who care and know what will get your mind off of problems.
I'll be around.
-------------------------------
Oh, there's a clock
in my head and
despite what it
said, another one
on the wall. They
don't agree at
all...

HowlingFury, my sincerest condolences for your loss. That was very kind and thoughtful of you to take the time to inform us of your family's loss and to be gracious enough to wish us a happy Thanksgiving. I hope you were able to take a step back and be thankful for the family you were surrounded by during this time.
Take care, and I hope you get your medication situation straightened out.

Truly sorry to hear of your loss. I wish you well in this time of grief.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

HowlingFury,
My condolences. I lost my father on Thanksgiving day, two years ago. Take it one day at a time and remember fun times and moments you had with your mother. Take the opportunity to tell friends and family that you care for them. As corny as it sounds, time does heal wounds like this.
My dad never understood my love for baseball cards. I took him to a show in Kansas City, early 80's and he saw Willie Mays. While I don't think he ever "approved" of the money I spent on cards, he never again mentioned it after that show.
Im sorry for your loss.
