I have been cropping my own shoddy workmanship of the past few years. Question: If I come across someone's else's scan that is so bad that cropping won't help, is there a way to report it other than using the "see any accuracies" button or a general letter to the editor?

Not sure if this answers your question, but Admin has told me if you have a card and want to replace a card that has already been scanned poorly (or is a card in poor condition), you can replace it and the original person still gets credit for it. Problem is, you have to have the card!

BTW, what prompted my original question to Admin on the subject was a box of cards I bought that stuck together and Admin said to go ahead and scan them (as a poor condition card posted was better than no card)...that's when they advised it could be replaced at a later time.

Yes, I just don't have the card to replace the one out there. The card looked to be in great condition, just scanned in "half fast". I just thought that if it was removed, there would be a better chance of having it replaced.

Do you know who posted it? Maybe they could re-scan if they still have the card. Maybe a special Forum with a list of the bad scans can be added and those who have the card can scan theirs. Just some ideas.

Great ideas. As Dan said, you could send them a message an ask them to rescan. Also, if there are others listed with it in their collection, you could ask one of them as well (can you tell who else specifically has it in there colletion? I'll have to check that.) But you're right, probably a better chance of having it replaced if the card was removed. I know when I add cards to my collection that have a scan already, I rarely pull up the scan, but just enter my card(s). If there was a list like Dan suggested, I would be happy to visit and see if I had the cards and could replace (provided I could find it...organization of cards is not my strong suit)! Brian
