I haven't been following the business end of the sports card hobby lately, so i didn't notice Panini becoming the giant til now. When did they start buying up all the card companies? I remember them being an Italian company that just made sports and non-sports stickers you saw at the grocery store checkout!! Sad to see the names of Donruss and Leaf and Playoff and the like all going by the wayside.
