Seems to be 2 out there. The famous one born March 25 1909. And other with one card in 1916. I have no clue who he is unless someone knew that age 7, the famous Dutch should have a card.

Yep, there was a Dutch Leonard (Hubert Benjamin Leonard) who pitched for the Red Sox and Tigers from 1913-1925 and the more well known one (Emil John Leonard) that pitched for the Dodgers, Senators, Phillies and Cubs from 1933-1953. I'll see what I can do. The same problem exists over at SCF, so I'm trying to work out how to separate them on both sites. Stupid pitchers and their stupid nicknames!

In my mind, Hub is the famous one. Maybe just because he had that record 1.01 ERA in 1914. Also threw two no-hitters, and apparently threw games too.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

In any case, they are now split, and I added a few missing 1916 sets to add more cards to the elder Mr. Leonard.

Bravo, Clyde. You're always on top of things! I guess that time has also adjusted that Leonard ERA to 0.96. In reality, I may know him primarily because I had so many of those Woolworth's sets.

When I search for Dutch Leonard, I get the younger one. What do I search to get the elder? None of the results showed Hubert.

Maybe the search database needs to update? If you browse by name, under the L's, you should see Dutch Leonard and Dutch Leonard (P, 1910s).

I can find it in the way you suggest but when I use the search function at the top of this page, whether I put "dutch leonard" or just "leonard", the Dutch Leonard (P, 1910s) does not show up. If someone tries to find Dutch Leonard P in this way, he will not find it and either create a new one or think that the existing Dutch Leonard is missing many card entries. Not sure why the Search function does not bring up both of them.

New names don't get updated as search results immediately. Search results update once a week, I believe on Saturday or Sunday. I'm saying this from memory as having asked Admin about this a long time ago. Give it a couple more days, and both Dutches will show up in search.
