Well, I've got to drag out my Frank Sullivan collection again. That's my best friend's name. And there's the original Frank Thomas, because I met him at the other Frank Thomas's induction weekend and he was the best old guy ever. But y'all are tired of hearing about them....

Vvvergeer, what about the original Mike Tyson? Good idea for a post by the way, it's interesting to see what people collect outside of the hall of fame players. Fan favorites, and not so much favorites, are definitely a little chunk of my collection.

Vitaly Potapenko. Drafted in '96 by the Cleveland Cavarliers. My dad used to collect some of the Eastern European greats; Petrovic, Sabonis, Divac, etc. The "Ukranian Train" was his favorite even though Potapenko was a rookie around the time my dad collected. Occasionally I get my hands on one and surprise him. No. 1. on my list is Vitaly's 2000-01 Topps Game Jersey and an almost identical card in the Stadium Club set. I have never seen either for sale.

Tom Brunansky. As a kid, baseball was my life, and he was my favorite player. I started collecting cards in 1980, but stopped collecting when I got to high school and girls became a priority. I still don't have time to immerse myself fully in the hobby, but I always keep adding to my Brunansky collection!

Collect in Hockey Jeff Odgers and Ian Laperriere. Just liked their style of play.

Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

Mine would be Brett Butler. I met him during the 1986 season when he played for the Cleveland Indians and he was the nicest guy. It made an impression on a 7 year old pee wee ball player for sure.

Well, there are a few players I don't like that I collect simply because they were Jays. I don't like Frank Catalanotto. Rance Mulliniks annoys me as a broadcaster.

Mike67 wins the prize for collecting players who are actually unpopular with himself!!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
