To have a set like this under baseball, to me, is a joke. We have Butch Cassidy, Amelia Earhart's Airplane, a Model T, Liberace, Jack Ruby and others in this set. Over 50% of the cards are non-basball. I counted 88 of the 150 (give or take a couple. Sorry, just had to get this off my chest.

I bet Liberace memorabilia cards would be worth a fortune. Look at those clothes he wore!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

What's a better category for it? Multi-Sport? But it has non-sport in it. Can't be non-sport, because it has sports in it.
New category: Misc Trading Card.
Or junk. :)

Vroomed, I like your suggestion of "junk". It is a bit classier than the "crap" category that I was going to suggested.

Yes, but if we make a junk category, people will feel inclined to move a lot of the late 80s and early 90s into that category.

How would Allen and Ginter be catagorized then. While primarily baseball, there are still many cards with movie stars, calf ropers, gunfighters, wild animals and natural wonders, etc.

You could classify Allen and Ginter as "Allen and Ginter Crap". Then everyone would know it is not pure baseball. By using generic filler for their sets, they don't have to pay any player's association. Dont have to pay for a photo of Earhart's Airplane or an animal or Jack Ruby.

The difference is that A&G calls itself Baseball Cards on the packaging, and includes logos of MLB, MLBPA, and Cooperstown Collection. Panini Golden Age, though including the Baseball HOF Logo on the packaging, calls itself Trading Cards.
