I would love to know if there are any such stores in Canada still. When Target was here, they had the repacks that you could buy 20 packs for $25CDN or 10 packs for $15 which were fun, and the 100 cards for $5. Since Target has gone, there is the odd similar product at Walmart, but not with any consistency, and I am not sure if it is Fairfield or a different company.
If I miss Target being in Canada, it is because they did have a better selection of sports cards - even if keeping the invenotry coming was an issue.

I'm glad this got posted, there is a 5 Below near where I work, I always thought it was a sporting goods store that specialized in winter stuff. I checked it out over lunch today and found a shelf of these repacks, can't wait to dig in to the one I bought (followed the advice here and made sure I grabbed one with Heritage).

I picked up the last two baseball repackages at my local Five Below yesterday, and they had replaced them with football repackages. Be forewarned though, the football cubes aren't as good of a deal as the baseball cubes. The baseball cubes came with two packs, a rookie card, a HOF card, a miniature, and 100 cards in a clear plastic Ultra-Pro case. The football cubes don't have the 100 cards. Basically all you get is two packs and two cards. I won't be buying those and will be keeping an eye out to see when they restock the baseball cubes.

Here in NC, USA, Target doesn't have the cube anymore. They have re-packs of unopened packs of cards in cheap boxes OR re-packs of individual cards in a "blister pack"! The individual cards come in two stacks of cards inside of a blister-pack. All plastic-framing for the cards but no structure after you open the "packs".They are $3.99 to $7.99 for a package of 100-250 cards. I was looking at some of these when I was in Target last Friday, but all of them were MLB (mostly pre-1993 and post-2011) or NHL cards. I wasn't intrigued enough to buy any of them.
It's kind of surprising how many NHL card packages/boxes are available here in NC, especially considering how hard NASCAR and NFL cards have been to find lately! I guess the NHL cards got more popular b/c of the Hurricanes' Championship and other runs at the Cup a few years ago! The 'Canes still aren't as popular as the NFL Panthers or EVEN some of the Minor League baseball teams around here (the Charlotte Hornets are still an after-thought in NC sports, until they can be consistent in anything other than being losers!). The NFL cards go FAST now b/c of the Panthers getting into the playoffs 2 years in a row. Even though their record sucked last season, they became the first team to win the division back-to-back since the NFC South was created by the NFL. Good luck for your team can end up being bad luck for you! :P

Unfortunately the Five Below stores I've been to in the past couple weeks don't have the Fairfield baseball cubes anymore. They only have the football ones, and those don't include the 100 cards the baseball cubes have. They just have two packs, two cards (a rookie and a HOFer) and a miniature in the Ultra-Pro case. I haven't seen the baseball cubes at any other store, so I guess I'll just have to wait till Five Below restocks them - probably next February or so.

I just stopped at a 5 Below near me at lunch to see what everyone was talking about and they had about 7 or 8 cubes, so i bought 3 and now my next 3 nights are full of sorting and providing trade bait to others.

I buy mine from Targets due to not having any Five Below stores in my area and almost always find cards that pays for the few bucks I spend. My brother shops at the five below and pulls pretty much the same as I do. The Targets have baseball cards in see thru packs 100 for $3.99, then they also have the boxes of basketball, football and hockey with a small box inside with 50 cards and 5 unopened packs for $7.99. I go almost every other day to purchase cards and never have I been disappointed, normally the unopened packs run from TOPPS, Gypsy Queen and even Alvin & Genter. I also stop by Toys R Us every now and then I find unopened complete set boxes for $11 - $12 bucks going all the way back to the late "80s" to the early "90s" as well as double packs of Gypsy Queen and Alvin & Gents for $2.99 - $3.99. Also on my shopping list is Kmarts they turn up some older $19.99 sets for $5 - $10 dollars. I'm a shopaholic and always try and keep 5 or more unopened boxes or packs on hand, so when I get tired of updating my cards on the database I can sit down and enjoy opening a pack or so. HAPPY SHOPPING!!!
