What (if anything) are users using to list unopened cello boxes in their collection lists? There is no entry in the pulldown for cello boxes.

Bump. I acquired a few cello boxes recently and would like to add to my unopened.

You could always ask Admin to add that as an option. Pending that, what about selectibg the closest current choice and adding a clarifying comment?

Sounds like something Admin could add if you asked. I thijnk he added one or two categories of unopened for me before.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

How does a 'Cello Box' differ from a 'wax box' or 'hobby box' or 'retail box'? Were there any products that were distributed in both a Cello Box and some other form of box where disambiguatiuon is needed beyond just calling it a 'box'?

My interpretations:
How does a 'Cello Box' differ from a 'wax box' or 'hobby box' or 'retail box'? - Wax box is the older or generic name for hobby / retail boxes. Cello or in today's world, Jumbo, would be considered a slightly different type of pack. The rack packs were their own box.
Were there any products that were distributed in both a Cello Box and some other form of box where disambiguation is needed beyond just calling it a 'box'. - I would say yes. I have a cello box of 1985 Topps, which has 24 packs of 28 cards per pack. This is much different than a wax box (36 packs at 15 cards each) or a rack box (24 packs at 45 cards each).
My $.02. - Mark

There definitely is a difference in Cello Boxes as opposed to Hobby or Retail boxes. Cello packs had I think 30 cards and were wrapped in clear cellophane with logs, pricing, brading etc. Pick a year in the 80's and do an eBay search for cello box or cellow pack, you will see the difference between that and another type of box. Same with the old rack packs, definitely different.

Learn something new every day. By the way, not sure how the last packaging image (the box set of the traded series) made it into the images of the base set.
