Howdy,
Thought I'd start a thread on card blogs, since I haven't seen one. I know a few of us have our own blogs that we like to share and write about cards on. But blogs can be used for other aspects of the hobby. Blogs are great place to host your needs list, scans of your favorite cards, offer up cards for trade. I know that TCDB is a great place for that too, but for me if I'm at a card show or LCS and find a cheap box of commons and want to see if I need any I just whip out my phone and pull up my need list from my blog. It's also handy if someone wants to help you out and needs to know what you need. You can just send them to a page on your blog.
If you've thought about blogging and don't know where to start check out sites like blogger, wordpress, or tumblr. All are free and you can upgrade if you want. If you decided to start a blog consider asking the admin to include you on the TCDB blog list and go over to the Sports Card Blog roll found here http://bdj610scblogroll.blogspot.com/
Alright feel free to chime in.

If only I had time to blog...
I did enjoy scrolling through some of your blog pages/posts. You have me beat - I'm 1108 miles from The Racing Sausages.

Peace and cards, David Building up baseball sets slowly but, well, slowly. Residence in New England has no bearing on my favorite teams, players, or how I pronounce "card." Forgave my dad for putting his '52 Mantle in his bike spokes, but not my brother for plastering his room with my Star Wars stickers.

I LOVE blogging...I started Cardboard History in November 2014 and it has been very rewarding for me. I could talk about cards all day long, every day, and this gives me an outlet for that. It has brought me hours of enjoyment, some new friends and several hundred cards.
I have literally thousands of topics I want to cover, I could post a new post every day and not run out any time soon. I try to post every other day though, sometimes I don't have the time/motivation/health to sit that long. (Some of my posts I want to do take hours to create- I've already got more than one post that took me 4 hours to create- and I got no comments on either of them!)
I have more than 30 posts already written and in the queue as well.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I've been enjoying the blog I started. I had another one previously where it was personal opinion, but I let that one lapse since I don't get a chance to read newspapers anymore.
I like the wantlist aspect I just need to figure out an easy way to write them out. lol

I love blogging. I forget when I first saw a card blog or if it was before I had started my own regular blog or after. I recall when I first heard about blogs a few years before I started blogging it was mostly a format for news writers and at the time most were either political or news related. Personal blogging took another year or so to catch on. When I first started blogging I started a personal blog that was not just card collecting. I made some occasional mentions of card stuff on my regular blog and eventually started a card blog. I also have a 3rd blog which is a card blog devoted to Washington Baseball, at the time I hadn't seen a blog devoted to the Washington Nationals. There were blogs for just about all the other teams but the Nats weren't represented when I launched "Curly W Cards". I usually try to at least blog once a month some months it is difficult to do with 3 blogs even just one blog is sometimes hard enough. so there has been a month or two where one of my card blogs didn't have any entries. I don't like being inactive that long. I have tons of ideas but getting motivated to sit down and talk (type really) about it is one of my master procrastinator first class problems.
Since I am mostly lazy I tend to prefer trading in the informal style and manner that bloggers do. Every once in a while you randomly send a bunch of cards to another collector from their want list or that fall under whartever you know (or think) they collect.
My Blogs:

Regular card blog: captkirk42.blogspot.com

Admin:
Since everyone who posted seems to like blogs could we set up a link where people could set provide links to their blogs (I would limit it only to TCDB members)?
What says everyone else on this?

Not the Admin here but...
Please look at the bottom of the page. Under the Resources heading, the second link under that is "Articles / Blogs".
I'll include the link right here as well. http://www.tradingcarddb.com/HobbyArticles.cfm
So, we already have this! :) I'd say that's a GREAT idea.

Billy:
It was cool seeing some of the hoops cards that I sent you end up in your blog. Glad you enjoyed the package.
